Plot hole: When the helicopter flies over the jungle, Haddock inadvertently walks in view of the helicopter and the pilot of the helicopter notices him, assuming it to be a Picaro. Haddock then trips into the river, but despite being watched by the pilot of the helicopter the entire time, the helicopter pilot doesn't notice him falling into the river and instead assumes he just disappeared. Revealing mistake: When Haddock walks in view of the helicopter pilot, it cuts to an interior shot of the helicopter where the pilot says "What's that? A Picaro by the river?" A couple of shots after this, there is another interior shot of the helicopter where the pilot then says "Caramba. He's disappeared." In both of the two interior shots, it is noticeable that the same footage has been used in both the shots as the exact same land is outside the helicopter is in both of the shots. Other mistake: When Haddock is in the lake, he is sinking, struggling to stay above the water and the water is even going up to his neck area.
