The Seven Crystal Balls: Part 1 - S3-E3
Plot hole: Two clown performers finish their act and the curtain closes. Tintin and Haddock then talk for a bit about who will be performing before the musician, but within the span of merely just a few seconds, the next act is suddenly on stage and ready to perform. No way could the clowns have left the stage and the next act have been set up within that short of a time span. (00:04:45)
The Red Sea Sharks: Part 1 - S3-E1
Plot hole: When Tintin is listening in on Dawson's conversation, he realises an alarm clock had been planted in his coat pocket as a prank by Abdullah. Even if he didn't see the clock in his pocket beforehand, there is no reason why he wouldn't have felt the added weight the clock would have had on the coat. (00:09:35)
Explorers on the Moon: Part 2 - S3-E12
Plot hole: In the flashback, Wolf wakes up to find out Jorgen is in his bedroom. The problem is Wolf wakes up before Jorgen even enters the bedroom.
Explorers on the Moon: Part 1 - S3-E11
Plot hole: Where did Thomson and Thompson get the pyjamas from? Tintin, Haddock, Calculus and Wolff did not bring any pyjamas aboard the shuttle with them because they were planning on sleeping in their clothes and Thomson and Thompson were only on the rocket because they were inspecting it before take-off, so they wouldn't have brought anything with them. (00:16:30)
Prisoners of the Sun: Part 1 - S3-E5
Plot hole: When Tintin is on the boat, he is totally dry. Tintin however had just been in water, so he should be wet. (00:05:40)
Destination Moon: Part 2 - S3-E10
Continuity mistake: Right before the launch, Haddock is wearing blue coveralls, but after the towers are cleared, they are green for one shot, only to be blue again for the rest of the episode.
Revealing mistake: When Tintin and Snowy arrive in Chicago on the train, whilst Tintin says "Here we are Snowy. Chicago", his fingers pass through the window frame of the train. (00:02:20)
Continuity mistake: As Tintin and Snowy are walking out of the train station, there are two taxis parked outside. When Tintin is offered a ride, there is only one taxi, and the other taxi has been replaced by a purple car. (00:02:25)
Revealing mistake: When Tintin is getting into the taxicab after leaving the train station, the cars driving on the road in the background are the exact same purple car design duplicated over and over. (00:02:30)
Revealing mistake: When the driver covers the windows in the taxicab, in the shot where he says "Too bad you won't get to appreciate the view", the cover shown between the back seat and the front seat has visibly not been fully drawn in yet, and an unfilled gap can be seen in the cover. (00:03:05)
Revealing mistake: When Tintin is writing his news report on the mafia, the writing does not appear when typed, but instead appears one row at a time. Also, when he removes the paper from the typewriter, several rows of writing have suddenly appeared. (00:20:50)
Continuity mistake: When Tintin follows the mob member from the diner to the building, the scene cuts to an exterior shot. A hot dog stand is shown outside the building, with a vendor standing beside it, but in the next shot, the vendor is suddenly standing behind it. (00:16:40)
Audio problem: When Tintin checks into his hotel room, he thanks the bellboy, but his lips do not move. (00:05:40)
Destination Moon: Part 2 - S3-E10
Deliberate mistake: The shot of the plane landing in Syldavia at the start of the episode, after the recap of part one, is merely the exact same shot of the plane landing in Syldavia at the start of the previous episode. Note the vehicles on the ground are completely identical and the plane, as well as its movements are also identical. (00:25:00)
Destination Moon: Part 2 - S3-E10
Revealing mistake: When Calculus is showing Tintin and Haddock around the rocket, they are in the deck below. Tintin and Calculus have already climbed down the ladder and Haddock is still climbing. Whilst Haddock is climbing down, the button on the back of his space suit vanishes for one frame. (00:31:50)
Explorers on the Moon: Part 1 - S3-E11
Other mistake: Wolff is explaining that if the motor is shut off again, the magnetic sole boots they are wearing will stop them from floating. Whilst he is explaining this, he is placing the boot straps over the Velcro. The first strap he places is only partially on, but a few frames after, a blip occurs in the animation, and the strap is suddenly entirely over the Velcro. The same happens with the second strap as well. (00:08:00)
Destination Moon: Part 1 - S3-E9
Continuity mistake: To launch the model rocket into outer space, Tintin pushes a lever with a green handle. Once the control tower is told to engage the nuclear motor, the first lever that Tintin had pushed is now a blue lever and the second lever that Tintin is now holding onto is a grey lever. Two shots after that, both the levers are now green. (00:16:00 - 00:16:35)
Destination Moon: Part 1 - S3-E9
Revealing mistake: When the countdown to engage the nuclear reactor on the model rocket has reached zero, Tintin pushes the second lever. It is apparent that Tintin is not actually holding onto a lever, but merely the animation is just drawn in a way to make it appear that he is. The green ball shown on top of the lever is not in the shape of a ball, but is really just the colour green that has been filled in through the gap between Tintin's thumb and finger. The lever doesn't even resemble a ball shape as it should. (00:16:40)
Prisoners of the Sun: Part 1 - S3-E5
Revealing mistake: When Tintin is swimming back to the boat after escaping the ship, Haddock is quickly rowing back and forth to reach him in time. As Haddock rows, the bars used to place the oars through can be seen moving back and forth, along with the movements of the oars, even though the bars are supposed to remain still during the oar movements. There are also frames from this shot where the bars vanish from the frame entirely as Haddock rows. (00:07:25)
Prisoners of the Sun: Part 1 - S3-E5
Other mistake: After the man on the ship tells Tintin that Calculus' punishment is death, he yells for Alonzo, and Tintin then punches him. When the man is punched, it is apparent that Tintin's fist never even enters the frame. There appears to be a flash effect indicating that he had been punched, but Tintin's fist is never shown hitting him. (00:07:05)
Chosen answer: It is a pill that makes alcohol taste disgusting.
