Factual error: Outside the Indian restaurant, the street curb is painted red. In Chicago, throughout the 1970s, curbs were painted white or yellow to indicate special parking zones; never red.
Visible crew/equipment: When he opens the door to enter the Biology classroom, a crew member's hand is seen grabbing hold of the door as it swings open.
Revealing mistake: The footage of the traffic in front of Springfield Hospital where Helen Lynch is recuperating is recycled later in the episode.
Continuity mistake: Mr. Kitzmiller's secretary is about eye level with Kolchak when the camera shot is over Kolchak's left shoulder, but in the shots over the secretary's right shoulder she towers over him.
Character mistake: The animal control officer tells Kolchak he was crazy shooting off a flash bulb at the gorilla, but the first frontal shot Kolchak took of the gorilla did not flash at all.
Continuity mistake: Captain Molnar's arms go from being in front of his chest to down at his sides and back again as he and Kolchak speak outside the police squad room.
Continuity mistake: Outside the police squad room, Captain Molnar grasps Kolchak's left hand, but the next shot shows Molnar's hands at his sides.
Other mistake: Vincenzo is looking at a photo of the gorilla Kolchak took of it earlier in the episode. It is a side shot, but Kolchak took two pics when he encountered it, one frontal, and the other shot as the creature was running away from Kolchak and the authorities.
Continuity mistake: Mr. Burton and Kolchak each hold a photo of the ape man's foot prints, but the next shot shows Kolchak holding all of the photos.
Other mistake: Considering Jules Kopenic was violently murdered and had his arm ripped off, there was remarkably no blood at the murder scene as Kolchak snaps photos of the crime scene.
Continuity mistake: Kolchak's hands instantly change position as he speaks with Captain Molnar outside the police squad room.
Other mistake: The crime scene of Mr. Gurney had no blood, considering Gurney's leg was almost torn off by the gorilla.

Continuity mistake: When Kolchak approaches Madelaine with the witch's bag, it is upright in his hand. The scene quickly cuts and now the bag is hanging down in his fist.
Continuity mistake: Stock footage shows the same dress mannequins moving from and then staying in their same positions, even after moving and attacking Kolchak.
Continuity mistake: As Madeleine tells Kolchak about Madame Trevi being a witch, her right hand is sometimes on Kolchak's left shoulder, sometimes off as the scene cuts.
