Magnum, P.I.

Italian Ice - S2-E15

Continuity mistake: Katrina puts down the perfectly developed picture of Magnum and Margo by the car. There's nothing specific next to the spot of the counter where the photo goes, but in close-up there's a pair of scissors just handy for her to do her bunny boiler routine with. (00:32:35)

Italian Ice - S2-E15

Continuity mistake: When Magnum gets in the open theater, the natural light on the ramp is very different depending on the angle of shooting; it has a pronounced shadow of the parapet with strong sunlight, or nothing of the sort. (00:44:00)

One More Summer - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: When the title of the episode appears in the credits, there are 4 girls passing in front of the pool bar. One of them is very recognisable for her circlet in her hair, sporting purple and gold bikini and a ripped physique. That same girl, with or without the others, passes in front of the same bar several other times (at least 3) during the scene. (00:01:35)

One More Summer - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene the position of the girl in the inflatable chair is not coherent in the various views. In the establishing shot of the pool, she is in the corner of the part opposite the house, but then she is in a diagonally opposite spot, and later when Morita is clearing his throat to give his speech she has two different guys (not too far apart from each other but still in distinct position) by her feet. (00:01:40)

One More Summer - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: After his speech, the guys toss Jack Metro (Pat Morita) in the pool. Mrs. Eleanor Greeley is present in the faraway shot, and she has her shades in her right hand, but it cuts to a close-up of her going through her sexy chewing schtick holding them in her left hand. (00:02:50)

One More Summer - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: Pat Morita gets dunked in the pool (twice) and he is dripping wet, you can even see his black underwear through the shorts when he gets pulled up from it. Still, a couple of shots later he's nice and dry poolside with the exact same clothes and hat. (00:03:05)

One More Summer - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: Mrs. Greeley turns around and watches Dorsey Bramlett on the hammock with a girl. He is gripping the net with his hand around the middle, but in the next shot and rest of the scene he is clinging to the top. (00:03:15)

One More Summer - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: When Coach Bell is talking to Dorsey's substitute and his wife at the party, the couple is in a different position in the two different camera angles mainly used; she casts a shadow on him in a different spot, with sunlight on his arms when the camera is over Bill Edwards' shoulder, and not in the other angle. One More Summer - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: The coach is talking to the number two QB, saying he's worried about the star. "I am too, sir", he replies. A blonde with a black swimsuit walks past him, but 5 seconds later she's doing the same. (00:04:20)

One More Summer - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: Magnum and his two friends are watching the team practice. In the establishing shot they are fully in the sun, and the whole section of the stadium does not have a bit of shade. Next time they are displayed, the direct sunlight is gone. (00:06:20)

One More Summer - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: In the hot tub scene, Mrs. Greeley blackmails Dorsey in return for favours; during the conversation, David Wilson's mouth position/facial expressions transition from shot to shot with a spotty continuity all the way through. (00:25:00)

One More Summer - S2-E16

Continuity mistake: The security guard spots the obsessive fan running through the seats. He shouts at him, and in the next shot the guy is running a couple rows lower than he was in the first shot. (00:37:45)

Texas Lightning - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: Opening scene, recycled extras. Look no further than the blonde woman in a maroon stewardess uniform, walking to the left of the screen in the suspicious person POV, and simultaneously in the background behind him. Or the woman with long curly hair wearing a brown top and long beige skirt. (00:01:50)

Texas Lightning - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: The man running down the escalator runs past the same couple (old lady with blue dress and man with pale yellow shirt) twice. Similarly, when the policemen reach the top and shout "Halt", the same woman with a hat reaches the top too in two separate shots. And, in the same shot, in the foreground coming up from the escalator there's a man with a white and blue striped polo, who was visible earlier in the policemen's way when Mike Vejar's director credit popped up, on the way to get down the same escalator. Of Sound Mind - S3-E12

Higgins: How fiendishly deceptive of you, Magnum. I could have sworn I was hearing the emasculation of a large rodent. To my great surprise, I see the sounds are emanating from what I thought was a harmless musical instrument.
Magnum: Cute Higgins, real cute.
Higgins: Why Magnum? Why do this terrible thing?
Magnum: Higgins, I'll have you know I used to be very good. I was the second best sax player in my High School band!
Higgins: Well, how many sax players were there?!
Magnum: ...Anyway. I just saw this in a pawn shop window and thought I'd like to try and get my chops back.
Higgins: May I suggest that your "chops" are irretrievable.
Magnum: Higgins, did you come here just to abuse me!?

Trivia: At the awards ceremony, three men seated at a table together resemble three detectives from 1970s TV shows. Detective Mike Stone (played by Karl Malden) from ABC's Streets of San Francisco; Detective Frank Columbo (played by Peter Falk) from NBC's Columbo; and Detective Theo Kojak (played by Telly Savalas) from CBS's Kojak.
