Dinner Date - S2-E10
Revealing mistake: In episode 2x5, "Peace Pipe", when Brackett gets on the line with Johnny, who's at the scene of the drunk driver's accident, Brackett presses two buttons - the third and fifth, to record the conversation on the tape machine. However, in this episode when Dixie gets on the line with Johnny, while he's with the little girl whose arm is stuck in the pool drain, Dixie presses only one button - the second, to record the conversation.
Revealing mistake: En route to the pick-up truck hanging from the freeway on-ramp, there is a flipped shot of Engine 51 and Squad 51 as they drive under the freeway before the camera pans in towards the car. Some giveaways are the reversed '51' on Engine 51 and the reversed 'road construction ahead' sign.
Revealing mistake: When Johnny climbs up to the roof to get Sheba down, Johnny has two long shadows, one from the sun and one from the set lighting.
Revealing mistake: When Johnny and Roy are in the storm drain searching for the two missing boys, all the walls have very distinctive water stains and markings, and the same walls and drains keep repeating, no matter the distance they have walked.
Revealing mistake: After Brackett has played the tape of 110's rescue for Roy and Johnny, when they get into the squad, the usually highly reflective chrome surface of the driver's side spotlight has been sprayed with a 'dulling spray', to temporarily dull the finish for this shot.
School Days - S2-E14
Revealing mistake: While 51's on scene at the traffic accident involving a car that broadsided an ambulance, when Chet opens the back door of the overturned ambulance the license plate reads "99923U" but the "U" is lopsided and pushed to the edge of the plate, which makes it obvious that it's a magnetized letter. It's positioned properly in following shots.
Revealing mistake: When Captain Stanley runs into the burning house looking for Johnny, the floor beside the stairs (under the table) is visible behind him, and there is no rug only wall-to-wall carpet, but when Johnny and Toby fall from the stairs, that area of floor is covered in a rug raised up like a platform, covering the crash mat for the stunt, then the rug vanishes when the guys get Johnny and Toby.
Revealing mistake: During the rescue of the man trapped in the submerged car, when 110's Captain hands John and Roy (in the water) the special cave-in gear's air hose, then when he opens the O2 valve and also when he revs up the jaws, we see that The Boat's port side has a taught line tying it off at the stern in the closeups (seen from The Boat's deck) to prevent it moving, but in the long shots there is no line.
Revealing mistake: At the construction accident with the trapped man, when Engine 34 rolls up on scene we can see the red vinyl material adhered to the front of the engine, covering its real company number.
Revealing mistake: While 51's guys are on the roof of the construction accident, when Truck 8 rolls up on scene and then places its outriggers we can see the red vinyl material adhered to back of the engine, covering its real company number.
Revealing mistake: At the structure fire, when Engine 9 and Engine 17 roll up, we can see the large, red, rectangular vinyl material that is adhered to the front of the engines, with their company numbers printed on it. Additionally, the red vinyl material adhered to the top of 9's and 17's cabs, which cover their real company numbers, flap up in the wind.
Revealing mistake: After Station 51 is dispatched to 'man trapped at the rock quarry', just before Squad 51 heads through the tunnel-like passageway, in the shot from the top of the squad we can see that the lightbar's chrome center and trim have been covered in black, presumably to prevent the reflection of the camera and cameraman, who's riding atop the squad.
Revealing mistake: After Gage gets bitten by the rattler, when the driver of Tractor 2 begins ascending the cliff, there is a nice close-up as he passes and this young stuntie is most certainly not the older driver seen in this scene. Not to mention the watchless driver suddenly acquires a black watch and a plastic face shield attached to the helmet.
Revealing mistake: At the start of the episode, in the closeup shot of Chet, Roy, and Johnny as they're talking about their trip, we can see the Land Rover hood's base plate where the vehicle's spare tire is supposed to be mounted, but the tire isn't there because of the mounted camera facing the actors in the vehicle. In other shots the spare tire is properly mounted on the Land Rover's hood.
Revealing mistake: After the snakebite, when the guys carry Johnny and place him at the back of Engine 51, the chrome spotlights are shiny and reflective, but in the closeups the spotlight near Marco has been partially sprayed with a dulling spray, to prevent the camera's reflection.
Revealing mistake: During Station 51's rescues on the foggy San Diego Freeway, when Chet is giving CPR to the little girl, it's just too obvious that he's not really giving CPR, unless her mouth is located on her cheek.
The Promise - S3-E11
Revealing mistake: When Richard jumps out of the 6th floor window, in the interior shot we see that he lands right at the base of the window's frame, as his body bounces back from the impact, but when Brackett looks out the window Richard is lying on the ledge, which is much farther down than the window's bottom frame.
Revealing mistake: After the two drivers from the traffic accident walk off holding hands, and Johnny tells Roy what happened with Barbara, while Roy explains "body-language" to Johnny, we can see the white tape with "Kevin" inside Roy's helmet.
Revealing mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to 'fire in the salvage yard', in the exterior shot as the squad and engine roll out of the bay, we can see the real Station 127's vehicle is still parked inside the apparatus bay, near the rear bay door.
Revealing mistake: When the guys are in the backyard with the woman who fell through the ground into an old abandoned well, in the overhead shot we can see the cuts that created the cutout hole on the flat surface around her, and that it's not really dirt or sand that she's slipping through.
Answer: I was rewatching a few first season episodes of Charlie's Angels (1976), and in S1xE6 "The Killing Kind," I recognized the same actor. So, to finally fully answer your question, the two baseball players in School Days are played by Rod Perry and Sean Fallon Walsh.
