In the next shot, when the camera pans quickly to the left of the blaze, one crew member wearing jeans and a white shirt stands behind the firemen, and another crew member wearing a grey shirt crouches at the side.

When it cuts to the next shot, the reflection of a crew member leaning forward is visible in the car's window, and the mic is also visible on the left. Additionally, Johnny is visible in the background, even though he just left in the ambulance with the victim, as the actor who portrays him, Randolph Mantooth, is casually leaning on a sign post waiting around during the location shoot.

Continuity mistake: At the station, when Gage and DeSoto are eating the meal DeSoto prepared, the sealed milk container is suddenly open and then sealed again, between shots. It changes position as well.
Continuity mistake: When DeSoto and Gage arrive at Rampart their black helmets are not hanging in Squad 51, when they enter the hospital. A moment later, when they're dispatched, both helmets are hanging in their proper place behind the seat. The distance between the squad and ambulance has also increased.

Continuity mistake: After Johnny learns of his last rescue's death, when he enters the hallway the treatment room beside the nurses' station is treatment 4, but when Brackett and Early pass the nurses' station to go save a rabbit from a sousaphone, it's treatment 2 that's beside the nurses' station. Then, as soon as Brackett and Early enter their door, in the next shot as Dix speaks to the officer, it's treatment 5 beside the nurses' station.
Visible crew/equipment: When Station 51 is on scene at the vehicle accident in the canyon, after Marco uses a crowbar to free the driver of the station wagon and he pulls the driver out, a crew member standing behind the FX 6-ft wind machine fan (to blow smoke) are visible in the background beside the other overturned car. As an aside, in the previous and following shots that crew member and wind machine fan are in the same spot where Chet and Johnny supposedly are.
Visible crew/equipment: When Roy and Johnny respond to The Boat wreck with injuries off Catalina, they pull up to the Coast Guard Air Station, and when Roy joins Johnny on the other side of Squad 51, the moving reflections of two crew members are visible on the back of the squad.
Visible crew/equipment: When Squad 51 is dispatched to 'man unconscious possible heart attack', while en route, two shots after Roy says "It's gonna be a long run," the reflection of the squad is visible on windows they drive past, and we can see the reflection of a crew member who's standing on the back of the moving squad. Slow motion is not necessary to see this. However, if you're into slo-mo you can catch it again later, when John and Roy head to the traffic accident victim.

Correct, it was J. Pat O'Malley...he also played the grandfather with his grandson when their rocket exploded, and also played "Old Bill" in the episode with Ann Prentiss, where Gage saves the little girl from the burning tree house, and her mother falls in love with him.
