X-Ternally Yours - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: In Gambit's flashback it is shown that the chosen one from the Guild of Thieves is banished to a "darkness never-ending" for breaking the covenant of the tithe. However, the same character can be seen later in the episode fighting alongside his fellow guild members.

Time Fugitives: Part 1 - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: When Bishop is shown returning to his original timeline, he is wearing the temporal band on his right arm. However, when he was sent back to his timeline at the end of the episode Days of Future Past: Part 2, he was not wearing the band because Rogue tore it off his arm and crushed it, which is what caused him to be sent back in the first place. Time Fugitives: Part 1 - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: Throughout the episode, Bishop's goatee alternates between fully covering his chin and having a small spot of exposed skin beneath the soul patch. Sometimes there is even the outline drawn of the exposed skin beneath the soul patch, but it is colored the same as the goatee. (00:05:10 - 00:20:05)

Time Fugitives: Part 1 - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: When Bishop is shown returning to the year 2055, he looks out the window to a see a pristine looking city, and claims his intervention in the past to be a success. This is a contradiction to Bishop's return when it was originally shown at the end of the season 1 episode Days of Future Past: Part 2, in which he appeared in a run-down city and remarks that everything looks the same as it did when he left. Continuity mistake: When Forge is first shown standing in front of the tube containing Wolverine's skeleton, the skeleton is incorrectly shown to be around 7 feet tall (Wolverine is only 5'3"). A couple of shots later, the skeleton is now shown to be more accurately sized. (00:05:19)

Time Fugitives: Part 1 - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: When the quarantine sign is being stapled to the door, it is black and yellow striped, with an orange stripe running the opposite direction, and "Quarantine" written on the orange part. When the mob is trying to get into the building, the sign is now gray with a single yellowish-gray stripe running diagonally across it, and no writing. (00:10:14 - 00:10:44)

Continuity mistake: When Bishop is trying to disperse the mob, the circular patches on his shoulders are red with yellow borders, and a thin circle design is within the red circle itself. Moments later when he throws Wolverine off himself, the red circles are now blank, and their borders are black instead of yellow. (00:11:00 - 00:11:50)

Time Fugitives: Part 1 - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: After Storm informs Cyclops that a mob is attacking Bishop, a shot of the rest of the team in the Blackbird shows that Gambit's neck is flesh colored when it is supposed to be black from wearing his headgear (this is corrected when the scene is reprised in the next episode). Continuity mistake: When Bishop is saying he was trying to save lives, the strap running through Gambit's jacket sleeve is colored blue, when it should be the same brown color as the rest of the jacket. His left hand is also bare, despite the fact that he had been showing his gloves throughout the scene. (00:12:37)

Slave Island - S1-E7

Plot hole: After Storm's attempt to escape the Genoshan prison is thwarted, she ends up in the ocean right at the shoreline of the beach, where she is captured by a Sentinel. Aside from the fact that it makes no sense for a Sentinel to be hiding in the ocean in the event that a mutant tries to escape the prison, there is absolutely no way that a two-story tall robot could hide in the ocean right by the beach, as the water would be way too shallow. You can even see that the water level only goes up to the Sentinel's ankle area when it is standing upright in the ocean. (00:03:15)

Suggested correction: Perception. (1) The Sentinel isn't as close as it appears. If it were close, then she would have been caught in its waves as it emerges. Also, she would be looking only at its chest circle. It's several yards away. (2) She washes ashore. She fell from the sky. She couldn't have fallen from that great height into shallow water without hitting bottom. (3) It's also a two-story tall robot. Its weight would sink it into the sand. So it could have very well been down that deep.

DetectiveGadget85

Sentinel never sank into sand in other episodes.

Well, it's shown here.

Show generally

Question: Does anyone know why Gambit was featured less and less in episodes as the show went on? He was one of the most popular characters in not just X-Men, but all of Marvel Comics around the time this series first aired, so unless it had something to do with his voice actor's contract, it seems odd they wouldn't have utilized him more.

Phaneron

Answer: Chris Potter, the original Gambit voice actor, did indeed quit the role in the 4th season. His last episode was The Phalanx Covenant Part 1 so it seems reasonable that Fox would limit the use of the character even though it was recast. It doesn't appear that Potter left the role due to animosity, he stated in an interview that he wished to play Gambit in the first live action X-Men film.
