Night of the Sentinels: Part 1 - S1-E1

Character mistake: When Jubilee wakes up in the infirmary, the sphygmomanometer on her wrist has been applied over her gloved hand, which could cause a false reading. Beast is the X-Men's resident doctor, so presumably he's the one that applied it to her, so he should have known to remove her gloves first for more accurate readings. (00:08:24)

Night of the Sentinels: Part 2 - S1-E2

Character mistake: When Beast is uploading the virus to delete all the mutant files from the computer, Storm destroys the monitor with a bolt of lightning and says they have run out of time. Destroying the monitor wouldn't magically erase the files. While she may not know that, Beast definitely would, so at the least, he should have asked her to destroy the computer tower and hard drive as well. (00:06:13)

Captive Hearts - S1-E5

Character mistake: When Rogue asks Storm what her plan is for dealing with the closing walls, Storm says "You three stop the walls, I shall slow the ceiling." Besides Storm and Rogue, Jubilee, Jean Grey, and Gambit are also there, so Storm should have said "You four stop the walls." (00:03:12)

Days of Future Past: Part 2 - S1-E12

Character mistake: After Gambit escapes from Wolverine and Bishop, Bishop says to Wolverine "No wonder you sent me back to change the future, because everything that happens is your fault." Wolverine didn't send Bishop back to change the future. He insisted on going back himself, but Bishop forced Wolverine out of the mission and inserted himself into the role because he felt Wolverine was too old to succeed. (00:10:03)

A Rogue's Tale - S2-E9

Character mistake: In the establishing shot at the farmers market, when the camera pans all the way to the right, there is a booth advertising roasted nuts, and "roasted" is misspelled as "roasteo." (00:03:20)

Beauty and the Beast - S2-E10

Character mistake: When Carly expresses her relief to Beast that he is fine after he was attacked by the anti-mutant group, he incredulously asks her how she knew he was a mutant. Aside from the fact that the Friends of Humanity were openly calling him a mutant in her presence when they accosted him, Carly was shown touching Beast's hand earlier in the episode. Despite being blind, she would also know that Beast's fur-covered hands would be quite different from the hands of regular people she might have touched. Given these facts, Beast should not have been surprised that Carly knew he was a mutant. (00:03:25 - 00:08:40)

Reunion: Part 1 - S2-E12

Character mistake: When wondering how close they are to the top of the cliff, Xavier asks Magneto "How much further?" The word "further" is used for non-measurable or figurative advancement. He should have asked how much farther, as that refers to actual distance between objects. An educated man like Xavier would certainly know the difference between the two. (00:02:44)

Suggested correction: While "farther" is used for physical distance, further can be too, especially in British English. Farther also tends to be used for a measured physical distance, so if the actual distance isn't known, further can be used. What Charles said is grammatically correct.

Cold Comfort - S3-E15

Character mistake: When Beast discovers that Iceman has escaped from the containment device, he takes several steps in the room before he even realizes that Iceman is gone. The device was not obscured by anything, so Beast should have realized as soon as he entered the room that Iceman was gone. (00:11:30)

Cold Comfort - S3-E15

Character mistake: When the two security guards are arguing over whether heat or humidity is worse, one guard says "It's midnight, and it's still 97°." However, moments before that the same security guard checked the temperature on his computer and it indicated it was 85°.

One Man's Worth: Part 1 - S4-E1

Character mistake: When the civilians are fleeing the coffee shop, there are two spelling errors on the coffee shop's marquee. Firstly, the name of the coffee shop is Rip Van Winkle, but on the marquee, Winkle is spelled as "Winkile." To the right of that, Coffee House is spelled as "Coffe House." (00:16:55)

No Mutant Is an Island - S5-E4

Character mistake: When Cyclops demonstrates his power to Rusty to show him that he's also a mutant, he shoots an optic blast at a building and blows a gigantic hole in its facade. While the building had the appearance of being condemned, Cyclops had no way of knowing whether there were squatters inside. He could have seriously injured or killed several people for all he knew. A Rogue's Tale - S2-E9

Plot hole: In the season one episode The Cure, when Pyro and Avalanche are in the bar on Muir Island waiting for Mystique to arrive, Avalanche says "This friend of yours better show up soon or I'm going back to jail, just for something to do!" Rogue then comes in and Pyro suggests to Avalanche that Rogue could be Mystique, to which Avalanche responds "What do you mean it could be? Don't you know what she looks like?", leading Pyro to tell Avalanche that Mystique is a shape-shifter. This dialogue implies that Avalanche has no idea who Mystique is, which is further substantiated when Pyro and Avalanche kidnap Mystique later in the episode while she is in the guise of Dr. Adler, and Avalanche didn't recognize Mystique when she revealed her true form. However in this episode it is shown that Pyro and Avalanche were both previously members of Mystique's Brotherhood of Mutants, so Avalanche should already know who Mystique is without Pyro having to tell him. Rogue was also a member of that group yet neither Pyro nor Avalanche recognize her.

Show generally

Question: Does anyone know why Gambit was featured less and less in episodes as the show went on? He was one of the most popular characters in not just X-Men, but all of Marvel Comics around the time this series first aired, so unless it had something to do with his voice actor's contract, it seems odd they wouldn't have utilized him more.

Phaneron

Answer: Chris Potter, the original Gambit voice actor, did indeed quit the role in the 4th season. His last episode was The Phalanx Covenant Part 1 so it seems reasonable that Fox would limit the use of the character even though it was recast. It doesn't appear that Potter left the role due to animosity, he stated in an interview that he wished to play Gambit in the first live action X-Men film.
