Milk - S1-E21

Continuity mistake: When Ted and Lily are at the side of the road after Ted has changed the tyre, Lily's necklace moves between shots. Sometimes it sits tight around her neck, whilst in other shots it hangs much lower. (00:12:00)

Milk - S1-E21

Other mistake: Lily needs Ted to come and fix her flat tire in Dutchess County, NY, after she breaks down on the way to her interview in New Haven, CT. Dutchess County is well upstate from I-95, the direct highway from New York City to New Haven, so Lily being there en route to New Haven makes absolutely no sense; she would only pass through Westchester County, which is directly north of NYC.

Marshall: You should definitely go. Look, it's a chance to show her you are still friends and that you support her.
Barney: Or it's a chance to mess with her head by showing up with someone hotter, or even better, triple threat, hotter and bigger boobs!
Ted: That's only two.
Barney: Count again.

Answer: After running the marathon for Marshall with no training, he's allowed to ride the subway for free. While sat on the train, the muscles in his legs start to seize up after the marathon to the point it is painful to move his legs. This is why he can't move them. It's the same reason your body aches after a good session at the gym the day before.

Answer: Barney ran a marathon without any training and over exerted his muscles. While he was able to walk after, later his leg muscles gave out and he couldn't move (or more likely stand). It is not uncommon when one works out too much to be sore the next day, even if they feel okay afterwards. Thus the saying "I'll feel that in the morning."
