Continuity mistake: The opening scene of this episode shows the train moving at twilight. West and Gordon are looking out the window, and it is pitch black. Right before West goes outside, the camera shot of the train wheel shows light (either twilight or moonlight) on the wheel. Continuity mistake: When West ties his horse to column, there is a boarded up entrance to the left with one wooden plank at a 45 degree angle in the middle. When West returns to his horse to leave, the plank is missing, and West rides off without having to untie his horse. (00:03:05 - 00:05:30)

Continuity mistake: When Barclay hangs the bone hatchet back in its place, the outline on the wall supposedly left by the item differs significantly from the artifact itself. (Most noticeable is the upper end: the outline has one long curled tip, but the actual hatchet has two short prongs there.) The outline was apparently drawn without the prop, or from a different prop altogether. (00:12:05)

Continuity mistake: The boot heel West removes to obtain his hidden explosive somehow reattaches itself by the time he leaps into the mining car. (He doesn't stop to put it back - he's running for his life from a pack of hungry wolves.) His boots also change from black to brown by the time he makes it outside and jumps on his trusty horse. Continuity mistake: When West breaks into the hacienda, the double windows he enters by have quite a bit of glowing light behind them. Yet when he climbs into the room, it's completely dark inside. (00:22:00)

Continuity mistake: The Constitution lies flat in the display case. After West cuts a circular piece of glass to remove the document, he takes it out and it is seen to be conveniently rolled up for ease of removal through the circle rather than flat.

Continuity mistake: Once West crosses the acid bath, he leaves a small piece of rope hanging from the zip line. Later, when he meets Artie to recross over the acid bath, the rope has grown to about three feet in length. Artie was too far away (and did not have the equipment to cross) for him to change its length.

Continuity mistake: Immediately after West's fight with Clint Cartwheel, Clint's hair is mussed. A quick shot back to both and Clint's hair is perfectly combed and groomed.

Continuity mistake: West's fingers are close together as he muzzles Vixen's mouth, but the close ups show his fingers spread apart.

Continuity mistake: Outside shots show the wagon West is driving rocking violently back and forth as he escapes, but inside shots of Vixen unconscious in the back show a gentle rocking motion.

Continuity mistake: During the time the Lieutenant is discussing Halvorsen's fate with Colonel Barbossa, his left side is facing the Colonel. An instant later when he salutes the Colonel, the lieutenant is now facing the Colonel directly.
