Continuity mistake: In the scene after the opening credits, West's hair is brushed back from his right side. It stays that way for the rest of the scene - as he is shaving, after he is drugged, as he is shooting at Dr. Loveless, as he looks out the window at the fallen Loveless, and as he runs out of hotel looking for Loveless. While West is still outside, Gordon arrives, and West's hair looks as if has gel in it when he is talking with Gordon. After the first freeze frame, West's hair goes back to the non-gel look.
The Night of the Sudden Plague - S1-E28
Continuity mistake: West draws a chalk outline around Arte, but leaves a large gap at the top, on the right side of the figure's head. A few shots later, the gap has filled itself in. (00:43:25)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the closing scene, their private train is shown moving right next to tall green trees with large mountains directly behind the trees. The final shot of the scene shows the train in a very desert-like location moving towards the trees and mountains which are shown in the far distance.

Continuity mistake: Because the second one is a painted backdrop, the building across the street from the sheriff's office in the exterior shots looks nothing like the one we can see from inside the office in the next scene. (00:07:00)

Continuity mistake: Three fourths into this episode, West is inside the wall of the mouse hole. Wearing his blue suit, he enters a knot in the wall onto a ramp. While sliding down, West is now wearing an emerald green suit. When West is sliding into the octagon container, he is wearing the blue suit again.

Continuity mistake: West enters through a bedroom window that, from the outside, is dark inside, but when he climbs in, the room is now brightly lit.

Continuity mistake: While Artemus talks to Lily at her dining table, he clasps his hands behind his back and is standing up straight. When the shot cuts, he's suddenly leaning forward with his left arm extended to the table. (00:11:25)

Continuity mistake: Halfway between the opening credits and first freeze frame, Gordon and Ms. Lily Fortune are seen entering the private train car in the dark of night, but the shot before their entrance is of the front of the private train car at twilight. That shot of the train car also shows a backwards number 3.

Continuity mistake: In the barn, when Artemus jokes about "smoked ham," he and West are standing within inches of each other. Then the shot cuts to a wider angle, at which point they're several feet apart. (00:21:20)

Continuity mistake: It's just past nightfall when the townspeople enter the courthouse. They aren't there more than half an hour, yet it's daylight when they emerge. Then a shot from inside shows that it's night again. (00:28:30 - 00:33:30)

Continuity mistake: At the end, the wagon tailgate falls open during the scuffle with the bad guys. When West fights his way to the front and drives the wagon away, the tailgate has somehow tied itself up again. (00:48:00)

Continuity mistake: In the funeral parlor, West is standing with his back to a wooden door. The shot cuts away briefly, then back, and now there's a blue wall behind him. Cut again, and the door is back. (00:19:05)

Continuity mistake: The bad guys throw an unconscious West down a chute into the ice house. He goes in with his arms at his sides, then slides with his arms above his head, and finally lands with both hands folded over his stomach - all while remaining unconscious. (00:30:30)

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of this episode, West is climbing up the latter out of the ice storage room. The seat of his pants are noticeably dirty as are both of his calves' areas. When West exits onto the street, his pants are inexplicably clean during this shootout scene. During West's fight with Brutus, West's entire back - from shoulders to the bottom of the legs of his pants - has been quite dirtied from rolling on the ground. West then runs to fight Sergei. When Sergei falls off the horse, and West is hovering over him, the entire back of West's clothes now seem only to be faintly dusty. When West leaves the fight area to enter into the funeral parlor, his clothes are immaculate.
