The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Plot hole: Penguin's magnet attracts with amazing force Batman and Robin's utility belts, to the point of pulling them in from the other side of the room; it's however ludicrous to think that no other metal object would be in the apartment and fly at a magnet with that sort of power. (00:14:30)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When the Penguin goes to Wayne Manor to put Batman and Robin to sleep with the gas from his umbrella, just before he shoots the orange gas at Robin's suit of armor, there's a quick shot of the armor's helmet. The problem is that there's already an orange stain on the face of the helmet from the orange gas that comes out of the tip of the umbrella, even before Penguin shoots any gas. (00:19:15)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Other mistake: Penguin says that his sleeping gas' effect lasts 18 hours, but Bruce in his shop woke after mere minutes (sure, the extreme temperature helped him regain consciousness, but something as potent to knock you out for 18 hours with a small whiff can't completely lose effectiveness just because your feet are getting a little hot). (00:20:15)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the big fight with Penguin, everyone is doing some fencing with the umbrellas. The guy with the caveman face on the left switches stance depending on the camera angle; he's lunging forward waving his umbrella with one arm in the frontal views, and he's in a guarded position in the overhead shots. (00:21:20)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When the umbrella fight erupts, the red suitcase with the money changes position on the corner of the counter (basically rotating of 90°). (00:21:20)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Revealing mistake: When Batman throws the first punch at Burgess Meredith, he is hitting him with an uppercut so wide that it misses by a mile even the tip of his cigarette holder, it's incredibly fake even for the understandably low and cartoonish standards of this show. (00:21:30)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: Batman sends Swoop into the wall with an "OOOOFF!" onomatopoeia. The impact knocks down from the shelf a bunch of umbrellas that fall on the poor guy, but as the scene goes on, the floor is clean and the umbrellas are still on the wall rack. (00:21:30)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: Robin jumps on a table, dodges a swing and gives a (really weak) kick to his adversary. Cut, and he is nearly tripping over two umbrellas on the table he is standing on, suddenly appeared out of nowhere. (00:21:40)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: Batman punches Hawkeye with a BAM; in the closer view Robin is not where he is supposed to be (next to the elevator, where he was sent reeling by the punch and where the action takes place in the following shot). (00:21:45)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Revealing mistake: Robin deals with the Penguin henchman in the elevator, then suddenly jumps on the counter, watches Batman conk heads (in a real fake way) and starts laughing like a slightly demented person. In all that, the guy in the elevator was still standing and looking like he was waiting for his cue. He is just suddenly KO with no explanation in the full view of the room a moment later. (00:21:50)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Visible crew/equipment: As Mr. Jay is talking to Bruce and Dick, on the wall behind Dick you can see the shadow of the boom mic. (00:23:45)
The Penguin's a Jinx (2) - S1-E4
Other mistake: In the pre-credits recap of part 1 of the episode we see Bruce awake and staring in horror (with actually a super hilarious face) at the furnace. It was not part of the previous episode at all and in fact Bruce wakes up only in this second episode.
Continuity mistake: Despite his lackadaisical pitching, the Joker manages to eliminate a series of batters. In particular, there is one elimination before and after the warden tells O'Hara about the joys in life, when Joker didn't really have time to throw the ball 2 more times. (00:01:55)
Revealing mistake: At the start, when Joker has sprung himself from prison, there are three shots of the giant spring, and the wires holding up the platform at the top are visible. In the third shot, one of the wires even glistens for a moment as it moves. (00:02:35)
Continuity mistake: In close-up, Bruce Wayne folds his newspaper in half, leaving the folded edge facing the camera. The shot cuts to a wider view and immediately, the paper has reversed positions in his hand. (00:04:00)
Continuity mistake: Batman and Robin are being summoned by Commissioner Gordon, but are still in civilian clothes, so it's time to get to the Bat-cave. Bruce presses the switch and the bookshelf begins to slide open. Pay attention to the white books in the third row and the red books on the top shelf. In the close-up that follows there are fewer white books, their cluster aligned with the last of the red books, a different proportion from the previous shot. The name tags on the bat-poles are also misaligned in the wider shot and perfectly at the same level in the close-up (which is a reused shot from the pilot episode). (00:05:10)
Continuity mistake: Arriving at the museum, the dynamic duo is greeted by some rabid Robin fans; when they start screaming and cheering for him in a close-up, there are men passing by behind them that were not there in the wider shot with the Batmobile approaching. (00:09:40)
Visible crew/equipment: When the museum closes early and Joker calls to each of his cohorts, their individual chalk T-marks are visible on the floor where they all stand. (00:12:40)
Visible crew/equipment: When both Batman and Robin realise that even though the museum can't be broken into, it doesn't mean someone couldn't break "out" of the museum, as they rush to the museum's front doors we can see a chalk T-mark on the ground in front of the doors. (00:13:25)
Continuity mistake: The first fight, in the museum, besides the obvious dose of wild haymakers has a rather messy phase when the "THWAPP!"; appears; Robin is facing two enemies, but the one with the red shirt lost his hat, which is back on in the next shot (and was on in the previous). (00:14:10)
Answer: There were three well-known actors who played Mr. Freeze, each one a different height, weight, and physique. As these were notable guest stars, the costume designers would adapt the costume to best fit each actor who likely would want to avoid comparisons to the other Mr. Freezes, incorporate their preferences, as well as refresh the look, rework whatever didn't work in previous versions, and so on.
