Continuity mistake: When the Thompson Tower collapses, Blanche asks Joe what are they going to do and you can see she is holding a handkerchief in her right hand. But in a full view of the family a few shots later, Blanche's handkerchief is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: When the woman crashes in the car park, the car stops with its front end atop the car next to the one it crashed into. But before the car explodes, the car can now be seen flat out on the ground.
Continuity mistake: When Scott and Virgil are testing the gas and Scott passes out, he can be seen falling forward but in the next shot has actually fallen backwards.
Continuity mistake: The car park is said to be four miles from the building, but when the fire starts by a car crash in the same car park, the fire goes straight up the building.
Continuity mistake: When Joe Carter parks his car in the car park in the Thompson Tower, you can see that his car is white. But when the lady driver crashes her car into his later on in the episode, the car is now yellow.
Continuity mistake: When Scott and Virgil are performing the rescue operation, watch the position of Blanche Carter. When we see her she is sitting down unconscious near the bench where Tommy is lying, but just a few shots later she is standing up next to Joe, and then later she is sitting down unconscious again.
Continuity mistake: When the red car crashes into the yellow car in the car park and starts a fire, both of the puppets are thrown out of the vehicle, but in the next shot they are suddenly back in the car.
Continuity mistake: In the Thompson Tower at one point, Blanche and Tommy are sitting on a bench whilst Joe keeps hitting the steel door. When the Tower Control assistant switches on the television, he says "How did they get in there?" and we see a picture of the family. This time, it's a different picture to the one seen before as Blanche and Tommy are not sitting on a bench, and Joe is nowhere near a steel door.
Continuity mistake: When Joe Carter parks the car in the car park, there are several cars to the left of him. In the close up shot of the car several cars have disappeared.
Other mistake: At the end of the episode in the space rocket Scott says "you can say that again" without moving his lips.
Continuity mistake: When Elliot picks up the radio microphone to call Search Control, the radio headset on his shoulders turns round between shots.
Visible crew/equipment: When a photographer is taking a photograph of Jenkins at the fake rescue mission, a human hand can be seen assisting with the puppet's movement from below.
Revealing mistake: When the Air Force Officer says "There is, of course, no doubt that their plan succeeded" during the search operation press conference, the puppet behind him can be seen moving its mouth in sync with the dialogue as well.
Continuity mistake: Before boarding Thunderbird 3 to rescue Elliott, Scott is wearing a yellow suit and orange shirt, but just before blast-off we see him in his blue roll-neck sweater and checked jacket.
Continuity mistake: When the tied up Penelope initially attempts to contact Jeff, you can see two books to the left of the bomb standing up. But when she tries to contact Jeff from the centre of the room, the books have suddenly been knocked over. In the next shot of Penelope the books are standing up again.
Continuity mistake: When Tony and Bob are trapped at the bottom of the mine, Bob is trying to free himself from the plank of wood resting on him and you can see there is a square pole on the plank. The pole changes position between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Bob and Tony are trapped in the bottom of the tin mine, Bob is seen sitting down with both his hands on a plank of wood, but in the next shot he has only one hand on the wood.
Continuity mistake: When Tony is trapped on the cliff edge at the beginning of the episode, he reaches for his bag which can be seen standing up, but in the shots when we see his hand trying to grab the handle, the bag is lying down.
Continuity mistake: When the Hood becomes entangled in the branches in the ravine at the end of the episode, the branches break and he falls into the river below, but when he falls, the branches have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Scott first approaches the boys after the 'rescue', his sidearm can be seen to be missing the usual red barrel covering.
