Continuity mistake: When Jeff tells Alan it's time to relieve John in the space station, he's holding a cigar in his right hand, but after a quick cut to Alan saying "All set, father," we return to Jeff, and his cigar has suddenly disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Tin-Tin and Gordon are swimming in the pool at Tracy Island, the beach ball in the pool has nothing on it, but in the next shot when we see Virgil sitting down reading, the ball is thrown out of the pool and there are green stars on it.
Continuity mistake: When Scott is travelling to the pyramid in Thunderbird 1, his International Rescue hat keeps disappearing and reappearing between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Wilson asks Lindsey in the jeep "Which way do you want to go?" you can see he is wearing his headphones, but after cutting to Lindsey, we return to Wilson and his headphones have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: The long shots of Scott hanging out of the window/hatch of Thunderbird 1 as Wilson and Lindsey find him, shows white lettering around the window, but the close-ups show no white around the window at all.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, we see Thunderbird 1 and there is only one "TB1" logo on the rocket. But when the Zombites craft start attacking Thunderbird 1, there are two "TB1" logos.
Continuity mistake: Before going on board Thunderbird 3, Alan is wearing a brown suit and Scott is wearing a yellow suit and orange shirt. But when Alan goes up the elevator in Thunderbird 3, his clothes have changed to a green checked shirt and beige trousers, and when Scott returns to Tracy Island, his clothes have changed to a blue roll-neck and checked jacket.
Continuity mistake: Alan and Scott launched Thunderbird 3 to go to Thunderbird 5 and relieve John from his duties in the space station. You can see John leaving Thunderbird 5 to go with Scott to Thunderbird 3, but when Scott returns to Tracy Island, John is nowhere to be seen.
Revealing mistake: The symbols on the walls of the Zombites' control room are the reverse of the symbol on their helmets.
Continuity mistake: After Thunderbird 1 is shot down in the Sahara, Scott is hanging unconscious out of the craft's front door. When Scott and Lindsey spot Thunderbird 1, the door to the craft is closed.
Continuity mistake: When Alan, Tin-Tin and Scott are lowered while on the settee to enter Thunderbird 3, looking head-on at them we have the three of them sat in that order from left to right as they descend the shaft. However, when it cuts to the long shot, Alan and Scott have magically swapped places. When they are fully raised into Thunderbird 3, Alan and Scott are back in their original positions on the settee. (00:18:50)
Continuity mistake: When Virgil radios to Jeff that he is about to land on Mount Arkon, Jeff asks him what the weather's like, to which Virgil replies: "Pretty stormy, Father. Pretty stormy." Then we cut to an exterior of the airborne Thunderbird 2, which is absolutely covered in snow. Just moments later we get a long shot and suddenly Thunderbird 2 is no longer covered in snow. We then get a close-up of the cockpit view, where we see Virgil and Brains, and Thunderbird 2 is covered in snow again. We soon get another couple of shots where it alternates between Thunderbird 2 not snow-covered and then being covered in snow again. (00:28:00)
Continuity mistake: When Thunderbird 2 leaves the hangar on Tracy Island, it appears that Pod 3 has been selected (Pod 2 is visible to the right of Thunderbird 2), yet when Virgil and Brains arrive at Mount Arkan, the Transmitter Truck emerges from Pod 6. (The same continuity error also occurs in the episodes 'Vault of Death', 'Move - And You're Dead', 'Martian Invasion', 'The Perils of Penelope' and 'Day of Disaster', probably due to the same footage being re-used for those episodes).
Character mistake: During the television report about the Sun Probe, a diagram shows the solarnauts' control cabin within the Probe Module. But we later see that the control cabin is within the body of the Probe Rocket when the Module is fired into the solar prominence.
Audio problem: When Jeff says "Scott, Alan, Tin-Tin" after hearing from the TV Reporter that all hope is fading for Thunderbird 3, the words don't match his lips.
Continuity mistake: When we see Tin-Tin passed out on the table when Thunderbird 3 is on a collision course with the Sun, the style of writing of the "Safety Beam" and "On" and "Off" on the control panel change between shots.
Character mistake: When Brains is playing chess with Braman at the end of the episode, the positioning of the chess board is incorrect, as for both players there is a white square in the bottom left corner.
Continuity mistake: When we see a shot of Thunderbird 3 in space on its way to saving the Sun Probe, the "Thunderbird" logo on its side is missing. It reappears later on in the episode.
Audio problem: At the start of the episode, Colonel Benson is voiced by David Graham. But when he appears on TV, asking for International Rescue's help, he is voiced by Ray Barrett.
