Revealing mistake: Near the end of the episode, Thunderbird 2 lands and reverses into its hangar. During this bit, if you look carefully you can see white smoke near the boiler on the far side of the hangar, only this smoke is apparently being sucked into it. This is the usual footage of Thunderbird 2 exiting the hangar played in reverse. (00:42:05)
Revealing mistake: When Thunderbird 2 returns to its hangar at Tracy Island, smoke can be seen flowing back down into units inside the hangar, revealing that this is simply reversed footage of the regular Thunderbird 2 launch sequence.
Revealing mistake: Throughout the film, whenever part of a wheeled vehicle lifts off the ground, the wheels stop moving instantly. In real life, the wheels would continue to turn at much the same rate, showing that these are unpowered models being pulled along.

Revealing mistake: In the shot that shows Jeff Tracy reading a newspaper, the date shown on the paper is 1964, however, the year the series is supposed to take place is in the mid to late 21st century.
Revealing mistake: Before Thunderbird 4 even starts to cut off Fireflash's engines, a line where cutting would occur can be seen on the engine pylon's leading edge.
