Mr. Monk and the Sleeping Suspect - S2-E7
Factual error: After Monk has thrown the bomb into the toilet and the Feds arrive, Randy warns Stottlemeyer that the Feds arrive from 3 o'clock when in reality they are approaching them from the left, which would be 9 o'clock in "military terms." (00:25:04)
Mr. Monk and the Three Julies - S6-E13
Character mistake: When Monk's examining the second dead Julie, notice that Randy touches the body to point out a bruise. Surely real life cops would be wearing gloves so as not to contaminate part of the crime scene.
Mr. Monk Is on the Run (1) - S6-E15
Continuity mistake: When Monk is shot he staggers back against the wooden railing - his arms are barely a foot above it, no way he'd overbalance and fall over. In the angle from behind the railing only comes up to about his waist, and he promptly topples over it.
Mr. Monk Gets Married - S2-E15
Factual error: Disher gets the armoire open and recoils from the smell of the dead body inside, despite it being wrapped in plastic. But he somehow didn't smell it before getting the door open, despite it providing hardly any protection from a smell like that.
Mr. Monk Falls In Love - S7-E6
Plot hole: It is not realistic that Miss Zladovic is confronted with the murder weapon for the first time in her flat after she had been arrested and interrogated about the same exact murder days before. It is also impossible that the police did not show her a picture of the murder victim as it is police standard to ask any suspects for connections/relations to "their" victim.
Mr. Monk and the Panic Room - S3-E2
Continuity mistake: When the Captain and Monk are standing in front of Randy's desk, there is no bag on the table. After a cut, a black bag suddenly appears and the Captain's hands are on it. (00:15:30)
Mr. Monk Makes A Friend - S5-E11
Continuity mistake: In the shot showing Monk, the playing cards in front of him are upside-down. When it switches to show Natalie, the cards are face-up. (00:33:00)
Mr. Monk and His Biggest Fan - S6-E1
Continuity mistake: When the lady that just "bought" Randy gives him his shirt you can see from behind that he closes one button of his shirt. But in the next shot 2 seconds later there are at least 5 buttons closed already.
Mr. Monk and the Leper - S5-E10
Continuity mistake: In the very last scene when Natalie leaves for her date, her flowers go from her hands, to the table, back to her hands, and then she sets them on the table.
Mr. Monk and the Man Who Shot Santa - S6-E10
Factual error: Michael Kenworthy and his robbery crew made plans to move to Ecuador after the heist. That wouldn't work because the United States has extradition agreements with every country in the western hemisphere.
Suggested correction: This is technically true, however, Ecuador is a relatively easy country for US expats to request political asylum in.
Mr. Monk and the Airplane - S1-E13
Continuity mistake: "Nationwide Airways" is the name of the fictional carrier used in the episode, and it even has its own logo and livery. Yet in the exterior shot of the plane pushing back from the gate, it has suddenly transformed itself into a Delta Air Lines plane. It also looks like a 1990s Delta plane while it is taking off. (00:13:05 - 00:15:00)
Mr. Monk and the Class Reunion - S5-E6
Visible crew/equipment: In Monk and Natalie's first scene, where they are walking down a campus walkway, if you look in the lower left side of the screen, you can see the rail for the track that the camera rig is operating on. (00:04:25 - 00:05:20)
Mr. Monk and the Genius - S7-E2
Continuity mistake: When Kloster hands Natalie the cup of lemonade, the cup is about two-thirds full. In the shots from the right side of the car, the level is about the same, but in the shots from the left side of the car, it's almost full. (00:22:30 - 00:23:30)
Plot hole: Monk and Natalie temporarily incapacitate Jake before crawling all the way down the hall from the bathroom to the living room while pulling a heavy claw-footed bathtub. Exactly why didn't Monk or Natalie think to consider a more permanent solution to preventing Jake from attempting to kill them again, like grabbing his gun and using it to detain him until the police could arrive to arrest him? (00:30:00 - 00:39:05)
Suggested correction: It's tricky to make that determination. First off they were panicked and possibly facing death. Not to mention he was a large and powerful guy. Maybe they grab the gun and maybe they detain him. You can't fault characters for making rash decisions. He was only incapicated for a short time so it may have been risky to take that option.
Continuity mistake: In the lab scene near the end, when Monk has the electric wheel chair, Natalie is holding the bottle of pills in her right hand and the drink in her left hand when she gets up from the seat. In the next shot she is holding the drink in her right hand and the pills in her left.
Mr. Monk and the Astronaut - S4-E14
Continuity mistake: When Steve Wagner gives the class red laser pointers, he tells them to pass them back. The girl on the far right of the shot turns around. When the shot changes, she begins to turn around again.
Continuity mistake: When Monk and Brian face off with the bear, there are two tree stumps in between. When the camera is on the bear, he's close to the stumps and Monk and Brian are several feet away. In the reverse angle shot, though, Monk and Brian are close to the stumps and the bear is several feet away. (00:35:00)
Mr. Monk and the Bad Girlfriend - S6-E4
Continuity mistake: In the first shot, when the captain is chatting on the computer and Monk is looking at him through the glass, the webcam we see is white and round. In the next scene, when Monk goes into the captain's office, the webcam is now gray and square.
Continuity mistake: When Monk is trying to get out of the Captain's car, Randy is trying to get his wheelchair out of the trunk. In the shots from the rear of the car, Randy is directly behind the vehicle. In the shots from the front, Randy is a few feet away. (00:18:00 - 00:19:00)
Continuity mistake: In "Mr. Monk On Wheels," after Monk gets out of the car, when he closes the door while standing on his unshot leg, he's facing the front of the vehicle. In the next shot, from behind the car, he's facing the rear of the vehicle without having turned around. (00:18:55)
