The Right Thing - S2-E14

Continuity mistake: When Carter first starts to confront the drunk patients Angel and Nathan, the door to their room is open behind him. Angel falls to the floor and the shot shows the door is now closed. The shot goes back to Angel laughing and the door is ajar again. Then it's closed again, and then open when Susan comes into the room. All this happens within a few seconds.

Continuity mistake: When Vuselich is lecturing Peter about his medical study, and we see Peter's face, his cap is pulled down over the top of his ears. When the shot is on Vuselich's face, we can now see the tops of Peter's ears. It continues like this for the whole scene.

Continuity mistake: When Doug is outside with his father, and the shot is on Ray, we can see a lot of snow in the air, but when the camera goes to Doug, there is no snow at all. The snow distribution on his father's coat change from shot to shot as well, too much to happen in only a Split Second.

Continuity mistake: Susan is at home, making drinks for Mark and her - she pours them drinks from the blender and leaves a little bit of liquid in the blender. They head for the living room and the blender suddenly has about 3 inches of liquid in it.

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the show, Peter is scraping the ice off his windshield, but the scraped pattern we see from inside the car is different from the pattern outside. When the car won't start, he gets out, and more of the windshield has been scraped in the meantime.

Fire in the Belly - S2-E19

Continuity mistake: When Susan knocks on Chloe's door, we see her holding the baby's toy but when the shot goes to Chloe's face, baby Susie is now holding the toy, but it returns to Susan's hand in the next shot. There was no time for any transfer.

Continuity mistake: Susan goes to see the patient Mrs. Garvey - we can see the sticky tape on her right shoulder, but as the scene progresses, her gown is pulled up, covering it - even though no one adjusted it during the scene.

John Carter, M.D. - S2-E22

Continuity mistake: Jerry is eating a hot dog while he talks to Carter. He is holding it with one hand. The shot changes and suddenly he has two hands on it but then the next shot goes back to the first position.

Dr. Carter, I Presume - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: When Peter and Jeanie are outside talking about their test results, there is an extra in a green sweater behind them who covers more ground than humanly possible from one shot to the next.

Continuity mistake: When Peter goes to his sister's picnic, he puts a pink box on the table and then sits in front of it. When his attention is diverted by a woman, suddenly the box is in front of him.

Continuity mistake: Carter is doing a nasogastric intubation on a emergency patient and suddenly the patient violently pukes blood all over Carter's medical gown, his throat and the lower part of the face, then a quick shot of the stunned nurses, and when Carter is shown again he is perfectly clean.

Continuity mistake: Carol is at her house with her mother, who makes 2 cups of coffee. She brings them to the table and Carol takes one but in the next shot, both mugs are still sitting on the table in the original position.

Continuity mistake: When Jeanie is meeting with her doctor, the doc fills a mug with coffee and puts in on her desk. The mug does a 180-degree turn so that the handle is facing the opposite direction. Another shot - and it's back to the first position.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell - S3-E3

Continuity mistake: Carters throws his white towel on top of the lockers and it falls to the floor and the locker door closes - but the next shot shows the towel on top of the lockers again and the locker is half-open.

Last Call - S3-E4

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Carol and Mark are arguing with Doug about him examining the girl, the door behind her is closed. At the end of the scene, as Doug walks away, the door is open, even though no one went near it.

Ghosts - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: Abbie is asking Peter and Carter questions about infant developmental stages and they are standing up straight next to the crib. When she says "don't worry, Dr. Benton", the shot shows Peter with one elbow draped over the crib and Carter is leaning over with arms folded. They could not have changed so quickly in real time.

Fear of Flying - S3-E6

Continuity mistake: Mark is watching Susan get on the helicopter and he hooks his Flight Physician jacket over his finger so it is hanging over his shoulder completely down his back. However, the shot from behind shows the jacket partially draped over his left shoulder - then it goes back to being down his back.

No Brain, No Gain - S3-E7

Continuity mistake: Carter is working on a patient who has swallowed a lot of taffy - he is sitting behind his head with both hands working on his mouth. But when Anspaugh walks in he suddenly has one elbow up in the air and the other hand wrapped around the patient's chin. There was no time for the change in position.

Love's Labor Lost - S1-E20

Continuity mistake: As Mark futilely pounds on Jodi O'Brien's chest, Carol can be seen in the background, removing her protective glasses with one hand. However, after the Time of Death has been called and they're showing the reactions of everyone present in the room (Susan, Carol, Carter, Lydia, Chen), Carol is seen taking the glasses off again, this time with both hands.

Trivia: Every episode has the patient list by the nurse's station. On the patient list, different names are mentioned, like Marguiles or Tierney. They put these names there as a spoof of the show.

Answer: A man named Paul Sobriki comes into the ER in the season 6 episode 13 " All in the Family." He is complaining of headaches, Carter and Lucy decide to rule out meningitis and do a lumber puncture. Paul struggles during the procedure and believes that both doctors are stabbing him. Lucy, who is interested in Psych thinks something is wrong with their patient mentally, but Carter is dismissive of her. She gets cross with his attitude and she calls the psych department anyway to have a look at him. Later on and near the closing 20 minutes or so of the episode, all the staff start playing loud music and get a cake which appears to be blue lol, together to party as it's Valentines Day, Carter returns from somewhere and asks where Lucy is. He goes to check one of the rooms for her and Paul Sobriki comes up behind him in the dark and stabs him twice in the lower back, he collapses and as he falls unconscious he sees Lucy on the ground also. In the next episode, Be Still My Heart (ep 14), Dr Weaver discovers them and all of the staff work to try and save them, whilst Carter survives. Lucy's wounds are fatal and suffers a pulmonary embolism as Corday and Romano try to save her. Carter is grief stricken and feels guilty about the way he treated her, he becomes addicted to painkillers and Benton, Greene all help him and book him into rehab.

Answer: Lucy and Carter were stabbed by a patient she had suspected of having mental problems. Lucy died and Carter survived only to become addicted to painkillers.
