Continuity mistake: When Mr's Li first threatens Klinger with a pitchfork in his office, it has four tines. A close up shows a completely different five tine fork. Then back to the first one.
Continuity mistake: After uncovering the motorcycle, there's only the tan chicken around. A moment later, Ralph has a brown chicken in his arm that wasn't there before.
Continuity mistake: As "Ralph" gets the chicken off the tarp covered motorcycle, he goes to pick up the egg with his left hand. After the close up, he does it with his right.
Visible crew/equipment: As Hawkeye, BJ, and "Ralph" come over to help the farmer, the shadow of the boom mic is on the ground at the bottom right side of the shot.
Continuity mistake: When "Ralph" has Hawkeye and BJ at gunpoint, saving their lives, the scenery behind them changes several times. Sometimes there's the road and a few trees. Then there's no road and a lot more trees and shrubbery.
Revealing mistake: When Sherwood has died on the gurney, with Roberts holding his hand, after breathing stops, you can see the bandage on his neck still jumping in time with his pulse.
Continuity mistake: In this episode, as they come from the pad, Hawkeye told them to get his canvas tub. But in "None Like It Hot", he had one that caused a lot of trouble and they traded it away for ice cream.
Suggested correction: There is no reason he couldn't have gotten another one.
Continuity mistake: When they get the soldier into the OR, Hawkeye tells Klinger to get his canvas tub from the swamp. Yet Col. Potter specifically ordered them to get rid of the tub in episode titled "None Like It Hot" - which they did.
Factual error: When the bird Charles shoots lands on the land mine, you can see thing bounce on one side of the explosion. If the bird had really landed on the mine, it would have been obliterated.
Suggested correction: Anti personnel mines are specifically designed to badly wound someone rather than kill them outright, as it takes more people to deal with a wounded casualty rather than if they were dead. Movies exaggerate the blast effect as anti-personnel mines don't actually blow anyone to pieces, even a large bird.
True, but in this instance, it was a small bird. The mine in question can severely maim or destroy limbs, therefore the bird shouldn't have been seen.
Continuity mistake: When the two soldiers get into a brawl in Post-Op, it's daytime. When Potter talks to Mulcahy, it's night. Then Klinger tells Mulcahy he's needed to break up the fight, it's daytime again.
Suggested correction: In scene 1, set in the day, the Greek soldier is wearing a dark blue jacket and a light blue shirt. In scene 2, set at night, Father Mulcahy is wearing a black shirt and a brown robe, and resting before bed. In scene 3, set during the day, Father Mulcahy is wearing a black shirt, a sweatshirt, and a baseball cap. He is punching a speed bag. Klinger says there has been another fight between the Greek and the Turk. The Greek is not wearing a jacket. Scene 3 is from a different day than Scene 1.
Revealing mistake: Anytime Margaret and Hawkeye are drinking in the bar, there is no liquid in the bottles.
Yessir, That's Our Baby - S8-E15
Plot hole: Charles has the money and family connections. Why didn't he try to get the baby girl sent to the US? Trapper and his wife almost adopted a seemingly orphaned Korean boy in an early episode, so it couldn't have been impossible.
Suggested correction: There is a difference between adopting a child and merely sending it to the States without any support system to be put into an orphanage.
Continuity mistake: When Klinger refuses to give Winchester the letter from his sister, Winchester screams at him, Klinger jumps and falls to the ground next to Winchester's bunk. After the cut, Klinger is sitting next to Hawkeye's bunk (note the airplane seat in the background instead of the door) and Winchester is holding the letter in his hand opening it. Rightfully it should be on the floor next to Winchester's bunk. If you look closely, you can see it flying out of Klinger's hand towards the door. (00:16:25)
Factual error: The Chinese soldier holding the grenade in the operating theatre is speaking Japanese. (00:20:00 - 00:22:00)
Continuity mistake: Charles enters Col. Potter's quarters while Potter is sleeping. Potter sits up in bed while Charles whines and complains about his sister's engagement. In all the shots facing Potter, the hair at the top of his head is very messy and pointing up. In every shot facing Charles, Potter's hair is normal.
Visible crew/equipment: While Klinger's practicing Colonel Potter's forged signature on the notepad, when BJ walks in on him and then picks up Klinger's notepad the boom mic moves across the top of the screen.
Visible crew/equipment: After Klinger gives the envelope with the forged discharge papers to the driver going to I Corps, just as he walks through the doorway we can see the two actors' tape marks on the ground, where the driver and Sidney were standing when they arrived.
Visible crew/equipment: After the opening credits, in the very first shot in the OR we can see the boom mic dipping into view at the top, left side of the screen.
Visible crew/equipment: When Sidney arrives and speaks with Klinger in the office the door remains open for the next few shots, and while Klinger first talks to the doctor and then to the driver, we can see the top of the crooked "sky" backdrop behind the tent in the compound.
Visible crew/equipment: While BJ and Hawkeye are in the Swamp playing darts, after BJ barely misses Charles with his throw, just as Charles storms into the Swamp the boom mic dips into view at the top of the screen, over Charles.
