Continuity mistake: Daphne visits the radio station where Frasier works about halfway through the episode. She holds the earphone piece up to her right ear, then it cuts to a different camera angle and the headphones are lying on the desk with no time between shots. It's actually quite glaring.
Answer: In the last episode, they explained that Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs is a metaphor for the mixed-up people to whom Frasier dispenses his radio psychiatric advice.
