Continuity mistake: When Scully arrives to investigate the kid who was crushed by the bleachers the time stamp says 5:10AM. It seems strange that the investigation would start the next morning, unless the high school holds basketball practice at 3:00 in the morning. (00:16:35)
Continuity mistake: While hugging detective White, in the first shot Mulder's tie covers his shirt's collar, but in the next shots the tie is hidden under the collar. (00:26:10)
Continuity mistake: The glass in the picture of Ryan Reynolds cracks as the casket is starting to catch fire. In one shot, which is wider, the glass has fixed itself. Cut to a closeup, the glass is broken again.
Continuity mistake: When Scully and Mulder first visit John Mostow he says that he drew all the pictures of Gargoyles, which would have been a pretty good act considering he was in a strait jacket and would not have been allowed to have paper and drawing materials anyway. (00:07:30)

Continuity mistake: When Skinner walks into the cafe (the time he gets shot) another man is just walking out, leaving a table with a used glass and coffee cup. The waitress is in the back, getting Skinner a cup of coffee (she couldn't have cleaned the other table yet), but when we look over Skinner's shoulder you can see that the other table is cleared and has a clean coffee cup (turned upside down) on it.
Continuity mistake: After the crash Mulder rests his head on the passenger dashboard, however in the previous shot filmed from the outside he keeps it on the headrest. (00:08:30)
Continuity mistake: Mulder recalls to Scully that he saw Krycek being pulled out of the car and then saw the bright flash, but he only came to just in time to see the flash. (00:08:50 - 00:12:00)
Continuity mistake: Agent Frank Burst screams "Stop!", but in the previous shot the police car was already stopped, although deputy Scott Kerber has just pushed the accelerator. (00:03:30)
Continuity mistake: Pusher loads the revolver with one bullet, leaving five chambers empty. When Mulder picks it up and points it at Pusher, the bullet can be seen in the cylinder, just to the right of the gun barrel. Later, when Mulder begins to slowly pull the trigger for the third time (aiming at Scully), we see the cylinder turn to Mulder's left. Problem is, with the bullet situated as it was when Mulder picked it up, the bullet would have moved to the barrel and been fired the first time he pulled the trigger, killing Pusher. Instead, it fires on the third pull.
Continuity mistake: During the very beginning of the episode when the cop and researcher are talking on the shore they go from facing each other to the cop facing the lake and having to turn his head to talk to the researcher between shots. (00:00:30)
Continuity mistake: In the pre-credits sequence when the gunman is shot by the police officer, he initially clutches a wound on his right side. When he is shown lying down, the bullet wound is higher up and on his left side.
Continuity mistake: In The Beginning, when the Bounty Hunter gets out of his car, Jeremiah Smith says nothing. However, in the same scene at 42:08 in the "Talitha Cumi" episode, Jeremiah says "He is here to kill me." (00:00:05)

Continuity mistake: When Scully is searching through the pictures to find Sarah Kavanaugh and Sullivan Biddle, she turns the photographs over and they have a label on them to say who they are. Yet when the shot changes angle to show the photos from the back, the labels have disappeared.

Continuity mistake: The truck stolen by Mulder from the Russian labor camp is Unimog 406. However, during the accident scene, when it comes out of the woods and falls from the hill, it miraculously turns into Unimog 404 model. (00:13:30)
Continuity mistake: In the first footage of the episode we can see that the ambulance's lower right lamp is off. However, at the moment of the crash it is on.
