Ghost town - S4-E5
Continuity mistake: When Sam says she'll go to the inauguration, the invitation lies between both tables but a shot later it is just on one table.
Ghost town - S4-E5
Continuity mistake: During diner, when Miranda talks about the ghost and says "I've been living there...", her hands are holding the glass or not, and extended or not depending on each shot. No continuity in any.
Ghost town - S4-E5
Continuity mistake: When Carrie puts her invitation on the table, Sam picks it up twice.
Plot hole: After dinner, Carrie is using her computer when Aiden suddenly is shown logging onto her AOL Buddy List. (Upper right of her computer screen). Since Carrie is unfamiliar with AOL, the Internet or how to use the Buddy List features, it's unlikely she would have already added Aiden ("AidenNYC") to her Buddy List. And you have to manually add someone to your Buddy List, it doesn't just automatically appear when you use email. But since Carrie apparently doesn't have any idea how the Buddy List/IM system works on AOL (according to her trying to 'hide' from it); she wouldn't have thought to manually add Aiden to the Buddy List at this point. It doesn't make sense. (00:18:40)
Audio problem: After Carrie returns from dinner, she is using the computer when suddenly Aiden ("AidenNYC") is shown logging onto her AOL Buddy List (upper right of her computer screen). But for some reason, the show uses an 'IM Chime' sound. When someone logs onto their computer and appears on your Buddy List, it makes a different noise (usually a door-opening sound). The 'IM Chime' sound only happens when someone actually sends you an Instant Message. In this case, Aiden had not IMed Carrie. There was no IM on her screen, and he only appeared on her Buddy List. (00:18:40)
Suggested correction: The sounds for logging on or IM'ing can be changed under the settings.
Because Carrie was brand new to the Internet, she had very little knowledge of how it works. She would not be advanced enough to know about IM settings, or how to change them. (This is clear when she humorously tries to 'hide' from Aiden's IM on screen, thinking he could see her physically). And it isn't likely that she would have changed the settings if she was just starting to use the Internet and had little experience with it. They used the wrong sound on camera.
Plot hole: When Aiden suddenly shows up below Carrie's window the night of their dinner together, she gets up and looks down at him from her apartment. He suddenly starts to run into the building, and at the same time Carrie immediately starts running quickly through her small apartment to get to the front door. It would have only taken Carrie a few seconds to get across her apartment, but Aiden would have had to run up the three or four flights of stairs to reach the front door of Carrie's apartment . That would obviously have taken much longer; yet as soon as Carrie opens the door, Aiden is already there and running into the apartment. (00:25:25)
Continuity mistake: When Aidan and Steve argue about who's going to the toilet, Steve leans forward, but from the angle shot from behind his back is against the seat.
Continuity mistake: When Aidan says he's going to the toilet, Miranda's drink is on the table, but a shot later she is drinking. Then she lowers her hand but from the opposite angle she already has it lowered.
Continuity mistake: While having dinner with Steve and Aidan, the latter has his hand next to Steve's neck, but it disappears in the angle shot from behind.
Continuity mistake: While eating, Sam says "wait for the signal" and grabs the cutlery. A shot later her arms are lowered behind the table.
Revealing mistake: When Charlotte brings dinner, the little boy can't help staring at the camera.
Continuity mistake: When Miranda talks about her date licking her butt, the food on her fork disappears between shots.
Continuity mistake: At the store, Tricia's daughter is looking at the left or straight on, depending on the angle.
Visible crew/equipment: When Charlotte shows Tray the refurbished bedroom, a squared set light is reflected on the wardrobe.
Continuity mistake: When the girls are drinking Martini, Miranda lowers her glass twice.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie confesses Charlotte that she is calling Aidan, the dancers moving and waving their arms wildly behind Charlotte disappear between shots. One might argue that it's because of the angle of the shot, but they're all moving around all the time and at least their arms should be visible.
Continuity mistake: During dance class, when Carrie confesses she calls Aidan, the same woman walks behind her twice.
Continuity mistake: During dance class, when the teacher says "every movement has a meaning" Carrie's right arm is down or raised depending on the shot.
Continuity mistake: When Miranda says "that's a big maybe" Sam is drinking coffee, but a shot later her arm is lowered. (00:02:12)
Continuity mistake: When Charlotte says she wants to quit her job, her hands are on the table. A shot later they are lowered. (00:02:45)
