Buffy The Vampire Slayer

The Freshman - S4-E1

Continuity mistake: When Buffy is fighting the vampires at the end of the episode, she grabs a tennis racket and smashes the brunette vampire over the head. She falls over the back of the couch and we hear the thud of her landing, however in the wide shot of the couch the vampire has just started to go over the back.

Living Conditions - S4-E2

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Buffy and Kathy are deliberately infuriating each other (tapping pencils and cracking eggs) there are several lights on throughout the room (on Buffy's desk, above Kathy's computer, in the kitchenette) yet when Buffy turns out her bedside lamp, the entire area is thrown into darkness.

The Harsh Light Of Day - S4-E3

Continuity mistake: When Spike finally gets into the area where the gem is and Harmony follows him up there, he puts on that necklace thinking it's the gem. When he realizes Harmony has the gem it shows him taking off the necklace. It cuts to another shot and then shows him again with the necklace, but minus the charm.

The Harsh Light Of Day - S4-E3

Continuity mistake: When Spike is in the area where the gem is located, he walks to the right of entry hole, where he finds the gem. Then Harmony appears from the right side of the screen, where there's obviously no entrance.

Beer Bad - S4-E5

Continuity mistake: When Xander is showing Willow and Buffy his fake ID and the view of the shot is from behind Xander, he is holding the card with his thumb and middle finger. Switch to the view from behind Willow and it's being held with his thumb and index finger. Then it switches to behind Xander again and it's back to thumb and middle finger.

Beer Bad - S4-E5

Continuity mistake: When the Cavemen knock out Willow, she lands flat on her front. Later on, one of the Cavemen watches Willow as she lies unconscious, and she is now lying on her back. Then when Buffy finds her when the building is burning down, she is back on her front.

THGhost

Wild At Heart - S4-E6

Continuity mistake: When Veruca comes to Oz's cage to spend the night there, she tosses her jacket onto the round stone thingie (knob?) at the end of the stairs, and it covers the whole thing. However, when Willow discovers them in the morning and Veruca goes to pick up her jacket, you can see that it has moved. Willow didn't touch it when she entered, and both Oz and Veruca were locked up so they couldn't get anywhere near it. (00:26:35 - 00:29:20)

Grigory the Wanderer

Wild At Heart - S4-E6

Continuity mistake: When we see Veruca eating at the table, she reaches for a cup as we see Oz coming up behind her. The shot changes and we see her turning around and reaching for the same cup again, though she never had time to put it down.

The Initiative - S4-E7

Continuity mistake: At the party where Riley is talking to Buffy by the stairs, when he first comes over there is no one in the corner on the stairs but in the next shot there are two people who disappear two shots later.

Halloween - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: Willow is turned into a ghost. Throughout the entire episode, she can't touch anything (can't turn the pages of a book, etc.), yet towards the end when she and Giles go to Ethan's shop, and she leaves, you can hear that she opened and closed the door, even though she can walk through walls and can't actually touch the door. The curtain moves when she leaves too. (00:34:05)

Chosen answer: "So goes the nation" seems to have been used on many occasions, with various different US states in the "As .... goes" section. Most commonly it seems to be California that's considered to lead the way, but probably most other states have appeared in the lead role at some point or another. Other things have also been used - no less a person that Pope John Paul II said "As the family goes, so goes the nation...". The origin of the quote format is unclear - in US politics it goes back into the 19th century, when it was Maine that held the title spot, but, while no definitive origin is known, it seems highly likely that it goes back considerably further than that.
