Factual error: Brendan Fraser's gelled-up haircut fits very much the time when the movie was made but not the time when it was set, i.e. the fifties.

Gods and Monsters (1998)
Continuity mistake: During the interview at the poolside Whale reaches for a box with cigars. In the next shot his empty hands are resting in his lap, and when the camera angle changes again the already opened box is back in his hands. (00:12:10)

Gods and Monsters (1998)
Continuity mistake: When young Mr. Kay is interviewing James Whale at the poolside Hanna brings some ice tea and two glasses on a tray. She puts the tray down and lays out the place mats. Then she reaches for the first glass, and when she puts it down in front of Kay the other glass is already standing in front of Whale. (00:09:55)

Sabrina (1954)
Factual error: When David talks to Linus about the consequences of calling off his engagement with Elizabeth he says that their father would take to the bottle and smoke six coronas. Throughout the movie the old Larrabee smokes one churchill after another, but not a single corona, which is significantly shorter than a churchill. (01:02:05)

Sabrina (1954)
Continuity mistake: Sabrina arrives at the Larrabees' party with a black, lacy handkerchief in her hand. When she starts dancing cheek-to-cheek with David, the handkerchief hangs down gracefully from their joined hands. The camera briefly cuts to his mother and his supposed-to-be mother-in-law, and when it cuts back to them the handkerchief is stuffed into her glove. (She could have done that in between, but then she would have had to let him go, and the intimate way they are dancing doesn't suggest that at all.) (00:44:15)

Sabrina (1954)
Other mistake: In analogy to David's mishap with the champagne glasses old Mr. Larrabee crushes an olive jar when he sits down. However, in contrast to David he puts the jar into the front pocket of his pants, and olive jars don't break even if you sit on them (remember what he did to one when he tried to get the last olive out.). Sabrina (1954)
Continuity mistake: Sabrina's slightly unruly hairdo is a continuity problem throughout the movie. This is especially noticeable in the sequence which starts with her calling Linus in his office from the lobby, and ends with her leaving the office after learning about his plot. When she makes the call her bangs are full and fluffy, but in the office they look rather cemented and change from shot to shot. (01:34:55)

Sabrina (1954)
Audio problem: After David has sat down on the champagne glasses the doctor picks small pieces of glass out of his bottom, using tweezers and a magnifying glass. However, when he drops the pieces into a metal bowl they make a noise like a large marble. (00:57:55)

Sabrina (1954)
Other mistake: Sabrina attempts suicide by starting the engines of all eight cars in the Larrabees' garage. When Linus comes and rescues her he first turns the engines off, and when he is through with only half the noise dies already. (00:15:25)

Sabrina (1954)
Other mistake: On pursuit of one of his conquering strategies David comes into the tennis hall where his present belle Gretchen is waiting. He looks around and calls out for her, although the full moon is shining through the windows and she is standing in the middle of the court, quite visible in her white dress. (00:06:35)

Gangs of New York (2002)
Continuity mistake: When Monk gives an election speech we see Amsterdam and his buddies standing at a distance in front of a house. When the camera angle changes in mid-sentence Amsterdam is standing in the first row of the audience. (02:05:25)

Gangs of New York (2002)
Continuity mistake: When William "Boss" Tweed tries to win over Amsterdam, he hands him a newspaper that covers the events at the church of the previous day. In the next shot Amsterdam's hands are rested in his lap and the paper is nowhere, and the following wide shot confirms that he hasn't dropped it on the floor. (02:03:00)

Gangs of New York (2002)
Other mistake: When Mulraney tries to kill Amsterdam and Amsterdam grabs him from behind there is no way that he would just have put his arms around his neck and not neutralized the gun first. Luckily Mulraney was kind enough to shoot into the air and then drop the gun. (01:53:25)

Gangs of New York (2002)
Continuity mistake: In the shot when Amsterdam is lying on the table and Bill's cleaver is rotating in the air you see that he is wearing a checkered black-and-white scarf. This wasn't there before, and it's gone right after, and it would have been visible the way he was manhandled by Bill's men. (01:42:15)

Gangs of New York (2002)
Continuity mistake: When Jenny and Amsterdam are lying in bed Bill suddenly sits in a chair next to the bed. He has an American flag draped over his shoulders. The way the flag is folded on the stars side changes when Amsterdam asks him if his shoulder is keeping him up, without Bill changing position. (01:22:45)

Gangs of New York (2002)
Continuity mistake: After the party following Bill's attempted murder Jenny walks up the stairs. Amsterdam runs after her immediately to confront her, and when he storms into her room she is in the middle of cleaning Bill's blood-stained clothes. Besides, there's no water in the bowl. (01:20:30)

Gangs of New York (2002)
Continuity mistake: When Amsterdam jumps at the killer to protect Bill, the way he takes off to the right and the way he grabs the hand with the gun coming from the left side don't fit. (01:13:40)

Gangs of New York (2002)
Revealing mistake: When Bill gets shot at the theater blood gushes in quantities that could only come from a main artery. His obvious fitness in the following sequences speaks against it, though. (01:13:40)

Gangs of New York (2002)
Continuity mistake: In the battle of Five Points a witch-like women with steel claws jumps at a man, already flashing her teeth in anticipation of a good bite. Before she lands on him she lowers her head that it ends up below his shoulder, but when the camera angle changes she's biting off his ear. (00:08:50)
