Continuity mistake: The scene where Gail and Tom try to escape Wade is quite an editing mess. First Gail sends Rourke down the river fishing so that they can pick him up later. When no one is watching they paddle off and try to fetch Rourke, but Wade catches them. They start fighting, and finally Wade cuts up his raft, which is suddenly there and not at the place where they had landed originally. Finally you see a shot of the cut-up raft at the original landing place, and in the background Gail and Tery carrying stuff to the place where Gail's raft was. (00:49:35)

Continuity mistake: When Wade tries to shoot Maggie, Rourke chases her up the hills, running after her. When Wade comes to scold him he is standing right on the riverside. (00:49:00)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Wade almost drowns he is seen in the middle of a huge stretch of white water. When Tom comes to his rescue the water is clear and only slightly choppy. (00:24:30)

Continuity mistake: Wade and Terry are supposed to follow Gail's raft through the rapids keeping to the extreme right. In this scene their position on the river varies a number of times, but there are many a shots where they are sticking to the extreme right as they should, but Gail screams that they are on the wrong side. Continuity mistake: Later into the morning of the second day of the trip, after Wade and Terry have shown Gail and Tom the rapids they were afraid of, you see a silhouette shot of the whole group against a beautiful evening sky. (00:20:30)

Continuity mistake: After they have passed the first rapid where Tom fell into the water Gail is rowing and the river is flowing quite fast. In between is a brief cut to Rourke where the boat is not moving and the water is totally still. (00:14:10)

Revealing mistake: When Daniel belly-lands his plane the rotors get totally bent. When the plane bounces back the rotors happily rotate again, revealing their rubbery consistency. (00:03:15)

Continuity mistake: When Daniel grabs Nat's jacket he holds it right at the corner. When we see Daniel next, still frozen and his arm still up in the air, a biggish piece of the jacket is sticking out of his fist. (00:29:20)

Continuity mistake: Daniel grabs Nat's jacket when the freezer gets opened, and it tears visibly and audibly. When Claire sees Nat wearing it after he has found it (that is after Daniel has given it back to him) there is no sign of any damage. (00:28:15 - 00:47:20)

Continuity mistake: When Nat and Claire's doctor boyfriend eat Claire's very well done steaks, the amount of juice in Nat's glass changes from shot to shot. And in the last shot of the scene, when Nat looks at the doctor, his hair is neatly combed to the side, in contrast to the mess it was before. (00:22:55)
