Continuity mistake: As Hogan leaves Klink to go to his barracks, there is a distinct lighting difference on the porch where Klink is. The area between the supports of the porch roof is lighter in color than to Klink's left, also the shadows of the trusses are at a different slant than the area to the right of the screen. And there are extra shadows of the light and the support to Klink's left.

Continuity mistake: Newkirk and Le Beau are getting the girl into the tunnel via the doghouse, while Hogan has Schultz distracted. Look over Schultz's left shoulder. The doghouse is in its correct position, as you can see the roof. When Schultz turns around, Le Beau and the girl are pulling the doghouse down, where it was down about one second earlier.

Continuity mistake: When Klink does a walk through in the barracks, he turns to face Hogan in front of Schultz. As he does, the end of his riding crop pushes against Schultz's lower chest and sticks. When the camera cuts the crop is free and well clear of Schultz.

Continuity mistake: Hogan takes the movie camera from Klink right side up. The next second, it's upside down. Then when Hogan goes to dunk the camera in the water, the lenses are pointing to his right. In the close up, they're facing his left.

Continuity mistake: Klink poses for a picture in quarter profile of the right side of his face for Bonacelli, who is actually getting a shot of the guns. Later, you see the picture, and Klink is fully facing the camera.

Continuity mistake: When Hogan is trying to get the woman drunk, they take their first sip of brandy and put their glasses down. Hogan's is full, and he switches the full one for the empty one. He picks up the empty one with his right hand. When the camera cuts to a wide shot of the two of them, it's in his left hand.

Continuity mistake: At the end, when Hogan and Schultz are admiring the Indian headband sent by Carter, Klink comes walking out behind them. As he stands in the door, you see Klink fold his hands in front of his waist as Hogan is talking. After Klink starts to talk, the camera cuts to a close up of him and he suddenly has his riding crop under his arm.

Continuity mistake: Carter and Newkirk have just taken the escapees down the tree trunk to the tunnels. When they go to open it, they clear off the snow to open it. When the shot goes to a German soldier that was chasing them, the phony stump is suddenly covered over again. It would still have been visible, having just been exposed.

Continuity mistake: Burkhalter and Hans Spear are seated at the table in Klink's office and Burkhalter pours brandy for himself and Spear. After the camera goes through several quick cuts, you see the shot glasses empty without having been moved.

Continuity mistake: When Klink and Hogan are looking at the Mustangs, Hogan has just sipped his coffee and holding the mug at chest level, at the top button of his coat. When the shot changes, he's holding it waist high. Also, the flight line full of planes is a grainy black-and-white projection super imposed in the shot of the window.

Continuity mistake: When Schultz comes over to talk to the boys, they open the truck door that has a map on it in chalk. They erase it, and go to close the the door on the right side of the shot. When the camera angle changes, they're closing the truck door again.

Continuity mistake: Hogan is reading the note from the underground on the clipboard that Newkirk brought in. When done reading, Hogan is holding the board at waist height. In the close up, it's suddenly chest height.
