Tintin opens his wallet and takes out the scroll inside it. When he takes out the scroll, the scroll is smooth and undamaged. He then hands the scroll to Haddock and it is suddenly tattered. When they first use, the wallet with the elastic band is in Thomson's right pocket. In the next scene, when the pickpocket attempts to steal Thomson's wallet, it is now inside his left pocket.
