Other mistake: Wolff is explaining that if the motor is shut off again, the magnetic sole boots they are wearing will stop them from floating. Whilst he is explaining this, he is placing the boot straps over the Velcro. The first strap he places is only partially on, but a few frames after, a blip occurs in the animation, and the strap is suddenly entirely over the Velcro. The same happens with the second strap as well. (00:08:00)

Continuity mistake: When Calculus is showing Tintin and Haddock the airlocks in the rocket, there are three levers shown, two of which are level with each other. Once Calculus has been told to return to the centre, the two levers that were level with each are now in two different positions. (00:32:15)

Continuity mistake: To launch the model rocket into outer space, Tintin pushes a lever with a green handle. Once the control tower is told to engage the nuclear motor, the first lever that Tintin had pushed is now a blue lever and the second lever that Tintin is now holding onto is a grey lever. Revealing mistake: When Castafiore is showing everyone the Castafiore emerald, after she says "He named it in my honour", the shot cuts to a close-up of her hand, saying "The Castafiore Emerald." At the start of the shot, she has two rings on two fingers, then she turns her hand and the two rings vanish from her fingers entirely. (00:09:00)

Revealing mistake: When Tintin is swimming back to the boat after escaping the ship, Haddock is quickly rowing back and forth to reach him in time. As Haddock rows, the bars used to place the oars through can be seen moving back and forth, along with the movements of the oars, even though the bars are supposed to remain still during the oar movements. There are also frames from this shot where the bars vanish from the frame entirely as Haddock rows. (00:07:25)
