Houdini (1953)

Continuity mistake: Just after Houdini returns to the United States from his European tour, he stages a publicity stunt. The lady in the apartment opens her window shade and sees Houdini hanging upside down, directly outside the window. When it cuts to an outside shot, he is now suspended above the roof line, where the woman would not be able to see him.

Continuity mistake: At the end, when Martin has been shot and appears to be dead, he tries to shoot Laura. He then dies, holding the gun in his hand. It's still in his hand when Laura gets up to attend to Ben, who is unconscious by the front door. The shot changes, and Martin is now lying in a different position, the gun nowhere to be seen.

Trivia: Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are the only Hunger Game tributes ever referred to by their first and last names. The other tributes are just identified by their first names, even when they're being introduced by Caesar Flickerman during the televised interviews or their scores are being announced on television.

The Hunger Games mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Caesar Flickerman is interviewing Katniss on TV, a chunk of her up-swept hairdo keeps changing, hanging down next to her left cheek in one shot, then it disappears in a close-up, then it's hanging down again. (00:56:15)

Plot hole: When Bella drops off Jacob and Renesmee at Charlie's house, she says she has to do an errand and will be back soon. She then proceeds to drive to Seattle, which is about 130 miles east and separated by a large body of water called Puget Sound. Being that I live in Seattle, I know that the most direct route from Forks to Seattle involves driving from the outer Washington coast through Port Angeles, then Sequim, going over the Hood Canal (toll) Bridge, before going to plus waiting for and riding a ferry across Puget Sound from Kingtston to Edmonds, and then at least another 25 minutes driving south on I-5 to Seattle. Even if Bella drove very fast (which she could not possibly do the entire way), it would take close to four hours one way, depending on traffic, wait and ride time for the ferry, stopping to pay at the toll bridge, and general driving conditions. Bella would also spend almost two hours in Seattle conducting her business with Mr. Jenks (which include driving through the busy downtown traffic, parking, going through the mall to the restaurant, and driving through the city again back to the ferry terminal) before returning to Forks. Depending on what time she originally left to when she got back home, it would be late in the evening. There are several other ways to get to Seattle from Forks, but they would take just as long or much longer.

View From The Top (2003)

Trivia: When Gwyneth Paltrow is meeting with Mike Myers to discuss her disappointment over being assigned to Royalty's commuter line, look at the photographs on the counter that the camera lingers on. Myers, whose character had a crossed eye, is seen in photographs with Sammy Davis, Jr., Marty Feldman, and Peter Falk, each of whom had well-known vision impairments (Davis and Falk each had a prosthetic eye, and Felman had a condition that caused his eyes to bulge).

Continuity mistake: In the first film, "National Velvet," the Pie, Velvet Brown's horse that ran in the Grand National, was a gelding (neutered). In the sequel, the Pie has somehow become a stallion again and sires a colt many years later that Velvet's niece names Arizona Pie.

Prometheus (2012)

Trivia: When David opens the green vial and puts a small bit of the alien matter on his finger, look closely at his fingerprint. The Weyland logo is etched into it.

Marnie (1964)

Continuity mistake: At the fox hunt, when Marnie rides away and is chased by Lil, Marnie's hair in the close-ups has come undone and is flowing straight back. Whenever the scene cuts to a long shot, the rider, obviously a stunt double, has her hair tied back in a loose pony-tail.

Secret Window (2004)

Character mistake: After Mort finds the two bodies in the truck, he makes a great effort to avoid leaving any fingerprints on the door handle and also on the screwdriver he removed from the one body and takes with him. However, when he's pushing the car towards the cliff, he reaches in the window to grab the steering wheel with his bare hand, leaving his prints all over it and uses his other hand to push the truck.

The Hunger Games (2012)

Continuity mistake: When the tributes are entering the arena on horse-drawn chariots, the spacing between the vehicles keeps changing from being far apart (in the long shot) to bunched up in closer angles. This is not just because the horses either sped up or slowed down because the distance is always perfectly even between each chariot. (00:30:50)

Sex and the City (1998)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 mistake picture

Continuity mistake: After arriving in Hogsmeade, when Harry is talking to Aberforth Dumbledore, the table by the window has two chairs on one side of the table. A few minutes later, there's only one chair on that side, and the other chair is now at the end where there was previously none at all. (00:28:00)

Continuity mistake: Ken's mother makes his jockey shirt using dark blue and gold as their racing colors. When Ken rides Thunderhead in his first race, Ken's jockey shirt is now light green and beige and the design is different. Ken's family owns Thunderhead, and race horse owners must have specific registered racing colors and patterns. Ken would not suddenly be wearing a differently-colored shirt.

Continuity mistake: As Edward and Jacob are working to revive Bella just after she gives birth, Bella's eyes keep changing from being open and unblinking to tightly closed. The "making of" documentary on the "DVD Extra", showed a life-size dummy of an emaciated Bella with closed eyes that was used in more physical scenes. You can tell it's the dummy whenever Bella is shown with her eyes shut.

Trivia: The conductor in the symphony scene is Bernard Herrmann, who is actually playing himself. His name is seen on a poster outside the theater. Herrmann composed the music for many of Hitchcock's films, including some of the score for this one.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Continuity mistake: When the T-rex is attacking the vehicle with the kids inside, Alan gets out of the other car. Even though it is pouring rain and Alan is standing perfectly still, no raindrops are seen hitting his solid, medium-colored shirt. It stays perfectly dry, even though there is nothing overhead that is shielding him from the rain. It is only after the scene cuts to him at the other car that the shirt is suddenly drenched. The rain is obviously CGI.

Resistance - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: When Casey Durwin deliberately stalls his motorized wheelchair in front of the Phoenix Group convoy (so Jim Shannon can slip into the last vehicle), his chair's position keeps changing. From the front angle, the chair is directly centered in the middle of where the truck is. When seen from Malcolm's view on the side, Durwin's chair is now partially clear of the truck's front end, then it's back in the middle.

A Summer Place (1959)

Continuity mistake: When Molly (Sandra Dee) grabs the letters she had hidden in the suitcase under the bed, her dress is still unzipped in the back. After ranting at her mother for having read the letters, she throws them into the fireplace, only now her dress is completely zipped up.

Continuity mistake: As Bella walks down the aisle during the wedding ceremony, a single strand of her hair has gotten caught in the right-hand corner of her mouth, then it disappears, then it is back again. (This is harder to see on DVD than it was on the movie screen.) (00:13:40)
