The O.C. (2003)

The Rainy Day Women - S2-E14

Corrected entry: In the Spiderman kiss scene, Seth would not be hanging vertically if he was tied at the waist, showing that he was wearing another harness or some type of rigging to keep him vertical.

Correction: We don't see his feet; they could have been caught in the rope. No reason for him to hang horizontally.

Face/Off (1997)

Corrected entry: How come Archer's wife doesn't notice the switch when she's intimate with her "husband"? I'm pretty sure she would have noticed if his kisses, birthmarks etc. and most of all the private parts would be different, which it's safe to say they are, as at no point of the movie is it noted that the doctors switched anything besides their faces. The doctors didn't implant parts from Archer to Troy, as there was no reason to do this.

Correction: They did not only switch their faces, remember at the end when Sean Archer asks the doctors to not put the scar of the bullet back. Plus Archer worked on this case like a maniac, he rarely was at home and didn't have sex with his wife for ages. Well, she has noticed a change, but as the case was closed she thought the change came from that.

Face/Off (1997)

Corrected entry: A person's facial appearance is based on the precise shape of their head which is based primarily on their bone structure. Cage and Travolta have noticeably different shaped heads. Simply removing a person's skin from his face and planting on another person's skin in its place would absolutely not change their facial structure in the least bit.

Correction: We didn't see the whole surgery and if such a surgery is possible (no infections, wound healing in hours, etc.), it surely is possible for the surgeons to alter the bone structure as well.

Friends (1994)

Correction: Yes, you're supposed to switch mobile phones off, but it's entirely possible to forget.

We Were Soldiers (2002)

Corrected entry: Both Snake and Too Tall are shown piloting their helicopters from the right seat, the pilot's seat is the left seat.

Correction: Most helicopters are piloted on the right side, unlike fixed wing aircraft. Regardless of model, pilots always fly with the cyclic in their right hand and collective in their left - if something has to be released to interact with the radio or other switch, it's far preferable to let go of the collective (for control/safety reasons), and centrally-mounted things like the radio, etc. are easier to access with your left hand if sitting in the right seat. That said depending on the model of helicopter it can be personal preference, or if carrying loads the pilot will occasionally sit in the left seat.

Ronnie Bischof

Correction: The Huey also had a foot operated switch for the radio, the only time the pilot is on the left, is when he is flying at you, or you are sling loading something, the pilot's seat is on the right as you sit in the Huey, co-pilot is on the is on the left. Jon Mills flew the assault group, the 1st lift into LZ X-Ray, not Bruce Crandall, Bruce Crandall was in the left seat Hal G. Moore " Bruce Crandall in the left seat. From We Were Soldiers Once and Young page 58 bottom paragraph.

Correction: The collective on the co pilots seat (on the left side of the Huey) does not have all of the controls the pilot (Right side) has. It only has the switch for the high-lo rpm.

Corrected entry: The parachute they use at the beginning of the movie says DINO-SOAR on the top, but in various scenes the lettering is gone.

Correction: The words DINO-SOAR are written on the bottom of the parachute, so that the guys from the boat can see it, but an airplane from above not. In all the shots from above there is no writing, but from the boat, when seeing the two guys or when the parachute is hanging from the tree, you can see the writing as you see the chute from below.

Jurassic Park III (2001)

Corrected entry: When the giant pterodactyl grabs Eric, it should start to lose altitude. Even a creature with a wingspan that big cannot carry 80-90 pounds or more. Also, the baby pterodactyls cannot seem to do anything but wiggle their wings feebly when Eric is dropped to them, but afterwards, they are fluttering around him.

Correction: All scientists can do is guessing how the dinosaurs might have looked like or how their muscular structure was, only the bones reflect a true image. So nobody knows how strong the petrodactyl would be. You can't tell that he couldn't have had the strength to carry Eric.

Ronnie Bischof

Correction: Exactly, fluttering. That doesn't mean their flying was, in a sense, fully developed.

Corrected entry: In the scene where the boy is bitten on the hand, the passenger asks the stewardess to bring her some Olive Oil to put on the bite. I've flown first class before and I know of no airline stocking Olive Oil.

Correction: I work in a Business Aviation company and have flown 1st Class many times, if you know the crew on board, you can get everything on a plane. Pay for it and you get what you want (except of course certain dangerous goods).

Ronnie Bischof

Corrected entry: How does the porn director, Kelly, know that they are even filming a video so he can steal it? Assume he did and assume he knew that he knew Eli had it (which is another stretch I think) - the video tape he held up when confronting Matthew didn't have a label on it, so how'd he know which one to steal from Eli's house?

Joel Gordon

Correction: He could have easily learnt about the video, he could have talked to one of the guy from the school, as he seemed to get along with them quite well or the two porn stars could have told him somehow. As for the video, he broke into Eli's house and probably had enough time to look through several videos. Not too hard to find a recently made video, especially when Eli was probably still editing it.

Ronnie Bischof

Correction: I would say that it's because of one of the porn stars. At the end of the night, Matthew and Danielle dropped Eli, Klitz, and the 2 porn stars! So I assume each of them got home with one of the porn stars, so the porn star that went with Eli stole the tape and gave it to Kelly and told him everything.

The Da Vinci Code (2006)

Corrected entry: Silas is an albino, and since albinos don't have pigment to color his skin and eyes, he should have red eyes. In the film, he has grayish blue eyes.

Correction: First of all, only true Albinos have pink eyes, because the iris has no color and the blood vessels discolor the eyes, however, a person can appear to be completely Albino and still have tint to their eyes and eye color can easily be disguised by coloured lenses.

Flightplan (2005)

Corrected entry: The airplane featured in the movie is loosely based on the Airbus A380.

Correction: That ain't trivia. It's obvious that they took the basic idea from the A380, however the E474 is just another plane with 2 decks, the shape of the plane is also different. The cockpit of the E474 is located at a different place, etc.

X-Men 3 (2006)

Corrected entry: When we see Magneto move the Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz he sets it down so that there is a bridge across the mainland to Alcatraz. The bridge is supported only by the island and the mainland, this wouldn't happen as a bridge that long and heavy would just collapse in the middle, that is why suspension bridges with supports in the middle are needed.

Correction: Already listed. See minor mistakes.

The Island (2005)

Corrected entry: Why on earth would McCord, a welder who works below the main floor and (supposedly) has no contact with the clones, know everything about the ultra-secret cloning operation? It's like a cleaner in the Pentagon knowing strategic military secrets. Haven't they ever heard of Need To Know?

Correction: He's seen repairing a computer when they cut a clone out of a breeding bag. So he surely knows a lot about the whole operation.

Ronnie Bischof

Corrected entry: Towards the end of the film Will sees himself in his TV set. The image is taken from directly in front. Will should be smart enough to know that the image can't be taken from an elevated position like the fire alerter he is looking at.

Christoph Galuschka

Correction: The two cameras they have planted were in the fire alerters, so that was his first thought. Surprised by viewing himself in the TV, he might have not thought about it propperly or probably had a hard day and couldn't bother thinking about the exact location of the camera. This is a character mistake.

Ronnie Bischof

Corrected entry: At the end, Will sees a video of him on his TV screen indicating that Gene Hackman has a video camera in his home. The image on the TV screen is a mirror image however, not a video image.

Correction: Some cameras reproduce only mirrored images, like my webcam.

Minority Report (2002)

Corrected entry: Anderton is trapped inside the Lexus as it is being built, and his head is positioned on top of the "X"-shaped bracket to which the chair attaches. Some spikes shoot through the bottom of the car, trapping his head where it is, and the chair (with an "X"-shaped bottom to match the bracket) comes straight down at him. Then the camera cuts to a different shot, and we find that Anderton somehow miraculously avoided being killed, even though it couldn't have been possible. (00:51:40)

Matty Blast

Correction: One quick turn to the other side easily would have saved him from the first chair coming down. The spikes wouldn't have hindered him to turn. Then back onto the chair to evade the second one coming down.

Flightplan (2005)

Corrected entry: At the very beginning a French Agent wipes a significant amount of snow from a bench so Jodie Foster can sit. However, in the next shot, which shows Jodie and the bench from above there is no indication what-so-ever that any snow was indeed wiped. No extra accumulation or disturbance in the snow around the bench. (00:01:40)

OneHappyHusky

Correction: That isn't a French Agent but Kyle's husband David. Jodie Foster is only imagining that he really is there. (Later in the movie she says to the shrink that after the morgue she was walking arround the city together with her husband). So when David wipes off the snow from the bench that is only in her imagination. After the scene in the morgue when whe see Kyle standing alone in the park - back to reality - the snow on the bench should be there, as well we're only supposed to see her footsteps in the snow.

Godzilla (1998)

Corrected entry: At the end of the film when the people are in the taxi driving over the Brooklyn bridge, they jump from the bridge to the road right even though the shot right
before the jump shows the taxi cab a good 3-4 feet below the road level. How did they all of a sudden jump that gap UP onto the road?

Correction: The car got visible lifted into the air, either by the blast of the collapsing bridge or by anything else acting as a ramp on the street.

Godzilla (1998)

Corrected entry: Two soldiers examine the tube at the end of which we then see Godzilla's eye opening. One looks towards the end of the tube, the other examines with a flashlight. He then turns around to go back to the guy at the curve and behind him opens the eye of the beast - but shouldn't the guy in the back who was looking in that direction notice?

Correction: We don't see the other guy after the one near Godzillas eye has turned around. He might have turned around as well.

Saved! (2004)

Corrected entry: In the scene where The Jewels and Roland arrive on the first day of school and Cassandra pulls up, Cassandra and Hilary Faye have a few words before Cassandra leaves. Hilary Faye then goes to the back of the car and sees the bumper sticker. She says "Oh My God". Since her character is portrayed as a very devout Christian, it is implied that her character wouldn't make the mistake of 'taking God's name in vain'.

Correction: If anything, this is a character mistake. Many devout Christians have been heard to say this and worse.
