Art House - S1-E24

Revealing mistake: Carrie comes into the kitchen, visibly hot and sweaty, and says, "Could it be any hotter?" Doug also has a sweat stain on his back and they stick their heads in the freezer. Suddenly Arthur walks in and says, "Do I have the word pushover on my forehead?" Arthur is wearing a thick shirt tucked into long pants and yet is not sweaty. At his age he would be more visibly drained from the heat than both Carrie and Doug. This happens again later in the episode in the garage.

Suggested correction: And yet in summer, some retirement homes have heating on still as they feel the slightest bit of cold. That could simply be the case here.

Fixer Upper - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: After Spence suffers from his allergic reaction to peanuts he's seen lying on the couch. Doug then says something to the effect of having to scrape Spence's lunch off the fence, indicating that he threw up. But the allergic reaction took place before they got to the lunch.

Suggested correction: Spence could have easily eaten something hours before the BBQ and simply brought that back up. Doug says "lunch" as a polite way of saying vomit.

Oxy Moron - S4-E10

Corrected entry: Spence asks Doug to arrange a meeting between him and Danny about possibly renting a place together. However, in the previous few episodes it is established that they are all friends already. (00:03:20)

Ssiscool

Correction: Spencer and Danny actually went to high school together, according to the reunion episode where Spencer claims to have slept with the Spanish teacher. A formal introduction initiated by Doug over an apartment rental would've been unnecessary by that time.

Precisely.

Ssiscool

Correction: People are often more formal when dealing with money, business, renting, etc. Spence might not have felt comfortable approaching Danny directly. Perhaps he felt that he and Danny were not as close as the rest of the guys. Spence seems to have met Danny through Doug. It would not be strange for him to present the idea to Doug first.

No Retreat - S4-E5

Corrected entry: At Carrie's office retreat when Doug is pretending to be on the phone, the guy in the blue shirt at the buffet keeps repeating the same movements and changing position between shots. (00:07:10)

The Minister

Correction: If you look closely he is examining all the forks on the table. Thus it appears he is making the same motions.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Deacon and Kelly rent a small apartment, however their bedroom is much larger than the Heffernan's. The master bedroom in their apartment would not be that big.

The Minister

Correction: Their bedroom could easily be as big or bigger than Doug's. Not all apartments/houses are the same.

Soft Touch - S2-E22

Corrected entry: At the beginning of this episode Carrie parallel parks the car so close to the parking meter that Doug can't open the door enough to get out. However from the shot above the car, when Carrie stops you can see the parking meter is not in the same spot as from the inside shot when Doug can't open the door. (00:23:35)

The Minister

Correction: The parking meter is halfway along the door when Carrie parks the car. When Doug tries to open the door it is still halfway along the door.

Surprise Artie - S2-E19

Corrected entry: In this episode, Doug takes Arthur out to a favorite buffet. When switching shots between Doug and Arthur arguing about buying one or two meals, the coffee cup by Doug's right arm alternates as to whether it is there or not. (00:06:35)

Correction: The cup is always on the table it just swaps from by Doug to by Arthur as part of the plot.

The Shmenkmans - S2-E18

Corrected entry: In this episode Arthur orders a case of Sgt. Salty cereal. When Doug and Arthur are trying the cereal, you can see it is called Deep Sea, not Sgt. Salty. (00:12:45 - 00:13:35)

The Minister

Correction: It's Sergeant Salty's Deep Sea Corn Loops, on the box.

Correction: The cereal is called "Sgt. Salty's Deep Sea Coin Roots" so Deep Sea being on the box is right.

Ssiscool

Hey Ssiscool. I love all your attention to detail and obvious fondness of TKOQ! Where did you get this? Is this a real cereal somewhere?

The Minister

That correction is coming up on 5 years old so can't remember exactly, but I seem to recall taking a screenshot of the box when it was on the table. With regards to it being a real item, I have no idea sorry.

Block Buster - S2-E14

Corrected entry: When Carrie fixes this super-huge sandwich for Doug's football buddies, she tells him to stay away from one end, because she used bad meat there. However, the episode ends with Carrie and Doug eating the sandwich from either end.

Correction: They could easily have taken the bad meat out.

Ssiscool

They didn't have any more meat, that's why she used the bad meat.

Correction: They are probably just eating the "bad" meat. I don't think it was actually spoiled enough that it would make someone seriously ill, or else, Carrie would not have served it.
