Continuity mistake: At the start of the scene in which Ross breaks the little girl's leg, we can see that the stairs are just separated by railings. Later in that scene, when Ross and Chandler start walking up the stairs, there are walls on both sides of them.(00:01:40)
Suggested correction:This isn't completely true. In the first shot, we see railing in the middle, as shown in the screenshot. Then, the shot changes to upstairs, looking down, and we can see the wall, as shown in the bottom picture. However, at the end of the wall, it goes into the railings, which is visible just as the pair start to climb the stairs. A screenshot of this can be seen here: https://ibb.co/bmZ8xTc, making it easier to understand.
The problem with the screenshot is the right side is circled to show there's no railing, but the railing is on the left side (to the character's right), but Chandler is blocking the view of the railing. Ssiscool's screenshot is before Chandler starts to walk up the stairs, which is why it's seen.
Suggested correction:That's not really trivia nor a continuity mistake. Small businesses, particularly cafes and coffee houses, often show different local artists' work on a rotating basis in an effort to support the local arts.
Correction:Chandler's suit changes because he's wearing different ones over multiple days. He attempts to fire Nina, then chickens out, then tries again on another day and fails, then finally musters the courage to do so on a third attempt after his boss confronts him.
No, if you watch the scene you will see that on the second attempt the suit changes colour between camera angles. This is not because it is different days.
I just streamed it again. I don't see that the suit changes color from grey to green, but it does look different when seen from either the front or the back view. However, it looks like this is just from the set lighting. There's a strong light source coming from the left-hand side that makes Chandler's suit look lighter from the back. The front is more shadowed.
Corrected entry: When Ross comes back from asking out his neighbour at the counter, he has his hand open at one point, pointing down, but then apparently smashes the egg on Chandler. It's clear he never had the egg in his hand as there is no mess on Chandler's vest top either.
Correction:You need to watch the background - when the girls are talking to Joey and Chandler you can see he puts it in his inside jacket pocket on his left side.
Corrected entry: When Monica is reading about the cheap casket, in the shot from behind her there is obviously a sticky-note that has been placed in the brochure.
Audio problem: When Phoebe is counting down to the last candle burning out you can see Joey blowing out the candle, but the sound of his blow is only heard a second later after he sits back.(00:22:50)
Suggested correction:Just because it's not shown on screen doesn't mean it's not there still. If it had been shown prior to this episode, and suddenly stopped, that could be considered a mistake. But it's never shown.
Corrected entry: Megan tells Monica that she booked the Swing Kings the day of Monica and Chandler's wedding and that she can only have them back if Monica gives her the cheap wedding dress that they both want. But in reality, a professional wedding band would never book a night for a client without receiving a deposit first. It just isn't feasible that Megan would put down a deposit for a band she had no intention of actually using (her wedding wasn't even that same day), especially given that she was looking to cut costs, hence shopping for a cheaper designer dress. There's also the fact that by the end of the episode Monica's booked the Swing Kings but is still in possession of the wedding dress - she could tell Megan to get bent and just keep the dress and the band!
Correction:There is also the chance that she (Megan) is just saying that to Monica to try and get her own way. If I recall, nothing is shown or stated to confirm that Megan did actually book it.
Audio problem: When Ross and Joey go into the bedroom, you can hear the duck in the background, even though the chick and the duck should be in the other apartment and aren't even in this episode.(00:12:53)
Suggested correction:We are also shown how the Chick and Duck are in both apartments over time. And also, just because they are not shown on screen doesn't mean you can't hear them.
Factual error: Ross falls asleep on the train and ends up in Montreal, where the woman he meets tells him "it's only a 2-hour ferry ride to Nova Scotia." Yeah, more like a journey of between 13 hours (12-hour car ride plus 1-hour ferry) and 23 hours (multiple bus legs plus 1-hour ferry.) The character could have been lying to Ross, but it's not presented that way at all.
Corrected entry: Ross and Chandler are in the ballroom looking for the disposable cameras. Chandler comes out from under the table, a disposable camera is in clear shot on top of the table but neither character notices.
Correction:Monica and Chandler's cameras were in a bag. The camera on the table was for the wedding they were crashing.
Corrected entry: The first version of Central Perk's logo, seen from season 1, presents a perspective error on the right top corner of the left cup of coffee. Some seasons later, the logo receives a tiny correction in the same area, that makes the perspective "OK" to the eye. The cup line straightens up, and the steam is brought a little closer to the ribbon containing the name.
Corrected entry: In the scene when Phoebe gets back to the beach house, she is pouring herself a Margarita and instantly she goes from pouring it to holding it up.
Corrected entry: In shots of Ross in Monica's living room there is a table behind him. In one shot you can see the shadow of the pole from the boom mic on the cloth that is covering it. (For a split second only.)(00:04:05)
Correction:This is a bit vauge. Most of the episode is set in Monica's apartent so what part of the episode.
Corrected entry: When Chandler finds the video labelled 'Monica' in Richard's appartment, Monica mentions that Chandler could never grow a mustache. However, in earlier episodes (around series 2), he does grow one, trying to copy the same Richard (granted it's not a very good one)
Correction:That's what she is referring to - the tiny bit of hair on his top lip really doesn't make a mustache.
Corrected entry: When Monica tells Chandler that she'll be ovulating until the sixth, he's crouching next to Emma, but then the shot cuts and he is standing up.
Corrected entry: Towards the start, when Chandler, Monica and Phoebe are listening through the walls, when they are listening to Rachel and Joey, and the camera slides "through" one room to another, you can see Phoebe's hand in front of the wall section that is in between the two rooms.
Correction:At no point does this happen. I have just watched this episode.
Corrected entry: The foosball table must be magical - the chick and duck double in size after they're rescued as compared to when Joey first shows Phoebe earlier that day.(00:05:30)
