Miracle (2004)

Corrected entry: When Mike Eruzione shouts his own name to avoid doing another sprint, Coack Patrick reacts just before he shouts it.

Matty Blast

Correction: He's not reacting to Eruzione shouting his name. He's hesitant to blow the whistle again because the players are tired and will get injured if they keep going.

The Mighty Ducks (1992)

Corrected entry: Going into the playoffs, the Ducks were seeded last, and the Hawks were seeded first. Therefore, the Ducks should have played the Hawks in the first round, not the finals.

Matty Blast

Correction: While that is true that the Ducks were last and Hawks were first, since they faced each other in the finals they may not have been in the same "league." Similar to the NHL while the Pittsburgh Penguins will play the Chicago Blackhawks in the regular season, they don't play each other in the playoffs due to being in a different league.

The Karate Kid (1984)

Correction: You didn't see Johnny or his gang during the entire chase before. Maybe it was caused when he and the other Cobra Kai's fell in the gym, or when he burst out of the stall after Daniel turned the hose on him. Point is, it could have happened at any point during the entire sequence and not necessarily because of Mr. Miyagi.

Minority Report (2002)

Corrected entry: In Containment, Anderton asks the sentry about Agatha's missing prevision. The sentry says, "For that, we go for a ride," while facing the pipe organ. The camera cuts to a wide shot of the plank extending and the sentry is now facing away from the organ.

Matty Blast

Correction: When the camera cuts to a wide shot of the plank extending this is a new scene - the actors leave the organ room and start moving within the containment area by the moving platform - two different environments. It is not a continuity error when changing to a next scene.

The Mighty Ducks (1992)

Corrected entry: In the championship game, Adam Banks scored a goal after being cross-checked by a Hawk. This sequence of events does not result in a power play, as depicted by the movie. When a penalty is called, the ref will refrain from blowing his whistle if the team that did not commit the penalty still has control of the puck. If the team scores during that time, the penalty is nullified.

Matty Blast

Correction: In peewee hockey cross checking would still be called as it is used as a teaching tool. However in high school and above the goal would nullify the penalty.

Sliders (1995)

Correction: When the Sliders discover they are moving 'backwards' and Arturo says so; it is further discussed & determined that they are 'jumping' or 'skipping' - so while each hour or so is 'forward' for all, the 'next' hour or so is a jump several hours backwards. Hence, the overall story is 'backwards', but all are 'moving forwards', just in different ways.

Lean on Me (1989)

Corrected entry: When Joe Clark addresses the faculty in the gym, he has three rows of people on one side, and about 11 or 12 rows on the other. Yet no matter which side we see Clark from, there are always just a few rows of people in the background.

Matty Blast

Correction: There are many shots that show the four rows Joe Clark asked to step forward and the rest of the faculty (Maybe 10 rows or so). I just watched the movie and this was plain to see.

The Mighty Ducks (1992)

Corrected entry: All youth hockey players use mouth-guards, yet most (if not all) players in the movie don't have any.

Matty Blast

Correction: Many leagues did not require mouthguards until very recently, and some still do not require them.

Cool Runnings (1993)

Corrected entry: The viewer can see the materials used to paint the bobsled (stencil, paint, brushes, etc.), but who did they find to pound out all the dents and smooth out the bumps in the body?

Matty Blast

Correction: They either did it themselves or paid someone to do it. Just because it doesn't show this happening in the movie doesn't mean the sled miraculously reshaped itself.

Happy Gilmore (1996)

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, Grandma asks Happy, "Who are you waving at?" Watch Virginia's lips - she mouths the words along with her.

Matty Blast

Correction: This is not necessarily a mistake - there's no reason why they couldn't have both been asking the same question, especially since they would have been questioning Happy's odd behaviour which they both saw.

Lean on Me (1989)

Corrected entry: The mayor asks Dr. Napier how many students passed the minimum basic skills test last year and he replies, "About 38%." Later, when Joe Clark is addressing the student body for the first time, his graph indicates that 30% passed last year.

Matty Blast

Correction: The 30% refers to the "Practice Test" the students took - not the test from the previous year.

The Karate Kid (1984)

Corrected entry: Mr. Miyagi goes to get the bucket & soap for Daniel to wash the cars. We see a shot of Daniel admiring the yellow car, and it's broad daylight. Then we see a shot of Mr. Miyagi holding the bucket and smiling, and it's pitch black outside. He meets Daniel at the yellow car and we're in broad daylight again.

Matty Blast

Correction: It is not pitch black. In the new widescreen version you can see the sunlight hitting Mr. Miyagi. It is also early in the day when the sun is not up very high yet so the black you see is the shade from the trees.

The Break-Up (2006)

Corrected entry: When the Cubs drop a fly ball, Gary's buddy stands up and points to the Chicago White Sox logo on his shirt to get the fans around him riled up, so apparently we're seeing an inter-league game between the Cubs and White Sox. A few minutes later we see the Cubs making a successful out at first base, and the runner has a Milwaukee Brewers uniform on (freeze-frame helps but is not necessary).

Matty Blast

Correction: This error was already submitted, and corrected.

Corrected entry: When Marty pulls out of the barn and runs over the pine tree, it's pitch black outside (the sun hasn't risen yet). The subsequent shot shows Marty driving his car and telling himself it's just a dream...now it's complete daylight. Is the Twin Pines Mall/Twin Pines Ranch so far away from Hill Valley that it takes a sunrise's-worth of time to DRIVE from one to the other? Doubtful, since it only took Marty about 15 minutes to skateboard there from his house (and pick up Doc's camcorder along the way).

Matty Blast

Correction: He wouldn't show up at the exact time he left 1985, he would show up at the time set on the consule which I belive was 5:30am. Also, it gets pretty bright in the morning even before the sun rises. If you look the sky has a grayish look to it that looks like a overcast day before the sun rises.

The Lake House (2006)

Corrected entry: When Alex gives his dad the coffee, his dad comments on how hot it is. Yet there is a close-up of the cup, and not the slightest trace of steam is coming out of it.

Matty Blast

Correction: Steam is produced not from excessive heat, but from a large contrast in the coffee and the surrounding air temperature. If the temperature in the room were 80 degrees, which is feasible, and the coffee temperature were 95 degrees, then there would not be any steam coming off of the coffee, even though Alex's dad considers it "hot".

The Brady Bunch (1969)

54-40 and Fight - S1-E15

Corrected entry: Throughout the whole episode, the girls, the boys, and Mr. & Mrs. Brady searched through the catalog multiple times to try and find something to get with everyone's books of stamps, and couldn't decide on anything. Then the girls came home with a color TV instead of a sewing machine, and everybody was thrilled and delighted. If a color TV was such a wonderful item for the family to choose, then why didn't anybody decide on it or think of it earlier, when they were combing through the catalogues?

Matty Blast

Correction: It is true that a color tv was a great item to have, but was more expensive back then than they are now. They probably did think of it. But they already had a black and white tv. They probably wanted to get something they absolutely didn't have and something that was a bit more cheap.

Corrected entry: When David is pleading with Monica not to leave him out in the woods, he says, "I'm almost sorry I hurt Martin." The actor meant to say "I'm sorry I almost hurt Martin." Since David is a mecha, it would be illogical to call this slip-up a character mistake.

Matty Blast

Correction: David is being truthful. He is jealous of Martin and feels (correctly) that the mother loves Martin more. He cannot lie, so he must admit he's not really sorry he hurt him.

Corrected entry: Remember in The Empire Strikes Back, when Boba Fett didn't fall for Han Solo's trick of having the Millennium Falcon cling to the Imperial starship? Now we know why. He remembered back to when he was just a kid, and his father (Jango Fett) lost track of Obi-wan Kenobi, who clung to an asteroid in the same way. No doubt that in Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett was thinking, "That trick may have worked on my dad once, but it's not going to work again."

Matty Blast

Correction: He never actully KNEW Obi Wan clung to the asteroid so he couldn't possibly have remembered it. What's the point of hiding if Boba and Jango knew?

Minority Report (2002)

Corrected entry: Anderton is trapped inside the Lexus as it is being built, and his head is positioned on top of the "X"-shaped bracket to which the chair attaches. Some spikes shoot through the bottom of the car, trapping his head where it is, and the chair (with an "X"-shaped bottom to match the bracket) comes straight down at him. Then the camera cuts to a different shot, and we find that Anderton somehow miraculously avoided being killed, even though it couldn't have been possible. (00:51:40)

Matty Blast

Correction: One quick turn to the other side easily would have saved him from the first chair coming down. The spikes wouldn't have hindered him to turn. Then back onto the chair to evade the second one coming down.

Man on the Moon (1999)

Corrected entry: It's easy to see that David Letterman was inserted into the talk show scene digitally - his body is "stretched" vertically and doesn't appear as clearly as Lawler and Carrey.

Matty Blast

Correction: Letterman wasn't added digitally, he shot the scenes with Jim Carrey during production. In the real interview, Letterman looks a lot younger.
