Corrected entry: Precrime couldn't figure out Howard Marks' new address. But the Post Office (also a federal organization) must have known it; otherwise how would the Markses get their mail? Recall that a magazine or newspaper was shown in the previsions, and Anderton unsuccessfully tried to zoom in on the address label, proving it was delivered. The United States Postal Service knew their new address, yet Precrime didn't?

Star Wars (1977)
Corrected entry: According to the diagram that was shown during the instructions for the attack on the Death Star, and according to the image displayed by the X-wings' targeting computers, it is clear that the exhaust port they're aiming for is straight ahead of them. Yet when we see Luke's two proton torpedos go in, they skim along the surface of the plane from below where the opening is, then turn 90 degrees and go in (sort of like a marble falling into a hole).
Correction: In the briefing before the attack, the mockup video actually shows the torpedos entering a port on the surface and dropping down to the reactor. It is an exhaust port and it would make sense that they exhaust port would exhaust straight out (i.e., flat to the surface). Also, the targeting computers would just indicate at what time (based upon telemetry) the pilots should shoot to have the torpedos sucked into the hole. They wouldn't actually "show" the opening. That is why Obi-wan told Luke to use the force - evidently the targeting computers weren't working that well since the first guy just impacted on the surface.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
Corrected entry: Watch Obi-wan when he hugs Dex. When he releases, he lifts his hands & arms way too far (and deliberately) away from Dex's shoulders. Because of this awkward motion, it's easy to see that he was hugging nothing, and that Dex was inserted digitally.
Correction: Obi-Wan's arms were digitally made. (See the "Clones" DVD) The only real thing kept was the head, so the awkward motion was made by the animators for some reason.

Airplane (1980)
Corrected entry: When one of the two African Americans ordered his dinner, he said, "Drink side, run me the java." Even though there's no such thing as "Jive" language, it's pretty clear that he is asking for coffee to drink ("drink...java"). The caption says nothing about coffee.
Correction: This is a comedy. There are no written rules that says the captions have to translate exactly what the person is saying. If I remember right he even says a cuss word and the caption says 'GOLLY.'

Star Wars (1977)
Corrected entry: Luke says, "Owen. This R2 unit has a bad motivator." The droid he's talking about is R5-D4 (source = starwars.com).

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
Corrected entry: Qui-gon says to Watto, "My ship will be the entry fee." How does he know for sure that the people in charge of registration for the pod race will accept a damaged ship? I realize it's a moot point, since Qui-gon talked Watto into supplying the entry fee.
Correction: These are Hutts we're talking about - they'll likely accept just about anything of sufficient monetary value.

Correction: Magazines, letters and so forth are delivered to whatever's on the address label - it doesn't automatically follow that this information is in a Post Office database somewhere. Besides, we never see how the magazine gets to the house - it could have been forwarded on from their old address by the new occupants, or Marks could have gone back and collected it.
