Continuity mistake: When Smee gives Hook his nightcap drink, Hook takes it in his hand and holds it at the top of the goblet so that it is hidden under his hand. But in the very next shot he is holding it by the handle and the whole goblet is now visible with a small black umbrella sticking out the top. Additionally, the position of the small umbrella that sits in the goblet changes a few times. (01:02:40)
Revealing mistake: When Rufio brings the sword down on the rope holding the slingshot, you can hear the intended sound effect, but the rope is not cut. (01:05:20)
Continuity mistake: When Peter is flung from the slingshot, he begins to fall at an angle. Yet when he falls into the pool, he is going straight down, which would not be possible given his trajectory. (01:05:20)
Continuity mistake: When Hook is giving the lesson to Jack and Maggie about why their parents hate them, he starts by underlining the word 'Hate' on a blackboard he has. However a few shots later the line that he drew to underline the word is now completely different. The line is longer and thicker. (01:05:45 - 01:06:40)
Revealing mistake: When Captain Hook reveals the blackboard with the "lesson" written on it, he underlines the word 'Hate' with chalk. However you can clearly see a faint smudged line already under the word (from a previous take) exactly where Hook draws the line. (01:05:45)
Continuity mistake: When Hook is giving Maggie and Jack lessons about why their parents hate them, on Jacks desk there is a large brown book and a piece of paper. There is an inkwell too which between different shots constantly goes from being on the brown book to the paper, then back etc. (01:06:30 - 01:07:05)
Continuity mistake: During the lesson that Hook is giving to Jack and Maggie about their parents hating them, the items on Jack and Maggie's desk (most noticabely the large white feathery quills and the large sheets of paper) change position a few times. (01:06:30)
Continuity mistake: When the Lost Boys bring the pots of "food" to the table, there is a large spoon which lays by Peter's plate. Yet when it cuts, the spoon has vanished from it's place, so that the Lost Boy can put the pot down on the table easily. (01:09:10)
Continuity mistake: When the Lost Boys bring the large black pot over to the dinner table and set it down in front of Peter, in the first shot it sits nice and flat on the table, but in the next shot it is sitting wonky, with a plate half-under it. In the next shot it is back to its original position. Additionally the items around the pot differ. (01:09:10)
Continuity mistake: At the imaginary dinner with Peter and the Lost Boys; when Rufio throws his plate across the table at Peter, in this shot and the next few shots that follow, the large black pan that sits on the table in front of Peter keeps moving closer then further away from his plate. (01:11:10)
Continuity mistake: When Hook is bent down talking to Jack in the shop full of broken clocks, his hand keeps moving from either resting on Jack's shoulder or his arm. (01:22:00)
Continuity mistake: When Captain Hook is bent down talking to Jack in the broken clock shop, in the first shot all of Jack's fringe is neatly sticking out from under his baseball cap, but after Hook places his hand on Jack, all of his fringe is now combed back under his cap and is not visible. (01:22:00)
Continuity mistake: When Peter gets hit with the baseball his son hit, it looks like in the shot behind the flying ball, that it's going to miss his head by several inches. But when it cuts to the front angle, the ball hits him squarely in the head. (01:28:05)
Continuity mistake: After finding his son hit a home run in the game with the pirates, Peter decides he must learn how to fly. The ball his son hit comes flying from the sky and hits Peter in the head, knocking him over. When he hits the ground, he is lying on grass, but one second later he opens his eyes on grey rock. (01:28:10)
Continuity mistake: When Peter is hit by the flying baseball that knocks him out, when he falls to the ground he has nothing attached to the large black belt that goes around his waist. But in the very next shot there is a small brown pouch that is tied to the belt, to his right side. (01:28:10)
Continuity mistake: When Peter is in the old burnt hideout, talking with Tinkerbell (just before he remembers his happy thought and re-learns to fly) he walks over to a small barrell that is covered in items (a glass bottle, rubble, scraps of paper and photos). Between the wideshot and then the closeup of the items sitting on the barrell, the items positions completely change and also some have vanished. (01:30:35)
Continuity mistake: In the flashback when Peter is remembering how he lost his Mother and got to Neverland, there is a scene where Peter is a baby and the stroller that he is in is blown down a hill by the wind. Between the three shots in this scene, the stroller keeps getting closer to the tree that it is sitting beside - even though the wind is blowing in the other direction! (01:32:10)
Revealing mistake: When old Peter recalls going to Wendy's nursery when he was younger, there is a scene of him trying to catch his shadow from the wall. Yet you can see his real shadow, cast on the mantle and wall to his right. (01:33:25)
Continuity mistake: When Peter flies up to find Tinkerbell in her lantern house, after he opens up the clock-face door and starts asking her what's wrong, as the scene progresses, Tink's arms keep moving from either being up by her face, to in her lap - and then when she turns around to face Peter, the position of her hands change from where they rest on her legs/knees. (01:39:50)
Continuity mistake: When Peter Pan starts fighting Hook's pirates on the ships deck, he pushes the second pirate who attacks him into two barrells. Where the pirate is pushed, there are two barrells (which he flies into), a large wooden crate, and another large wooden crate with a barrell laying on it. Then when it cuts, there's now THREE small crates instead of the one large one, and there's now TWO barrells on top of the other crate! (01:44:50)
Answer: 1) Though it is never fully explained, the mystical way Peter Pan would come and go from Never land. 2) It was Smee who was doing the spying. When Hook asked Smee, "This can't be my great and worthy foe?" Smee replied, "I have all the information here." He had a file of paper work on Peter. 3) Hook knew where the Lost Boys were, When Peter asked, what happened to the Never Tree. Tinkerbell said, "Hook burned it when you didn't come back." He considered the Lost Boys not worth the effort. It was Peter, he wanted.
