Continuity mistake: After just arriving in Neverland, Peter comes across a gang of Pirates that take a fancy to the leather shoes he is wearing. A couple of the pirates in the gang bend down so they are almost to the floor, but as the shots differ they continue to change from either being bent over / standing up straight. (00:35:25)

Visible crew/equipment: When the pirates try to get Peters shoes, after he first arrives at Neverland, Tinkerbell starts fighting them. In one shot a pirate gets hit by a very large saucepan, and falls back-first off a balcony. The very long wire is very visible. It's really long and goes all the way from attached to his back, to offscreen. (00:36:00)

Visible crew/equipment: When Peter first arrives at Neverland we see Smee taking Captain Hook's hook to the ship. When the camera pans underneath the ship's sails to reveal the giant human skeleton attached to the prow you can see a metal walkway at the top of the screen, behind the sails, and the legs of some crew members stood on it. (00:37:23)

Continuity mistake: When Peter walks onboard the deck before Captain Hook comes out, he is wearing an eyepatch, pirate hat and a purple cloak. In the first shot the purple cloak he is wearing is pulled up over his mouth but in the immediate next shot the cloak is now down around his neck. (00:38:00)

Continuity mistake: When Peter steps out onto the ships deck (before Hook comes out and makes his speech), Tinkerbell is with him and she lands on the top of a barrell. On top of the barrell is a glass bottle laying down, which between shots (as Tink lands on the barrell), changes which direction it is pointing. In addition the large piece of rope sitting next to it differs in position as well. (00:38:00)

Continuity mistake: When Smee is standing on the stairs, making his introduction speech for Captain Hook's entrance, the bandana ties that hang down on his back change position a few times, most noticeable when he turns around to walk back up the the top of the staircase. (00:38:10)

Hamster

Visible crew/equipment: When Hook is first introduced by Smee, just as the camera focuses in on Hook's hook, you can see the reflection of the crew in it. (00:38:30)

Continuity mistake: After Smee introduces Captain Hook for his appearance on the ship (to make his speech to his fellow pirates), as he emerges from the door he leaves it wide open behind him. But as the scene continues and Hook is talking, pacing back and forth, etc., how wide open the door is keep changing (from wide open, half shut or practically closed). (00:38:30)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Captain Hook walks across the ship and up to the pirate that bet against him finding Peter Pan, we see Peter standing to the side (between the pirate and Hook) and he moves the eyepatch that he is wearing across from his right eye to his left eye. As he does this, the eyepatch strap falls off the right spectacle. But in the next shot the eyepatch strap has now moved back up and is resting perfectly across the glass frame of the right spectacle. (00:40:20)

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Hook meets Peter for the first time, Smee gags Peter with his glasses and eye patch. As he puts them in Peter's mouth, you can see the pirate behind Peter holding them in place. In the shot where Hook removes the gag, the glasses are suddenly in firmly enough not to be held - the pirate's hand is now on Peter's shoulder. (00:42:15)

Continuity mistake: From when Smee and Captain Hook are inspecting Peter's scar onboard the ship, to later in the film when the Lost Boys are painting Peter's bare chest, the proportions of the scar (size, shape, location) are completely different. (00:42:25 - 01:06:00)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Hook is talking to Peter on the ship, he stuffs the eyepatch and glasses Peter's wearing into his mouth to act like a gag. Then when Hook removes them from his mouth, we see that he takes the eyepatch from out his mouth twice between angles. (00:42:35)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Hook is talking to Peter on the ship, he is wearing his eyeglasses as he examines him and his scar, to see if it really is Peter Pan. But as soon as he turns and walks away from Peter his eyeglasses have vanished from his face. (00:42:55)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: Hook has Jack and Maggie caught in a large rope net which dangles from the ship's mast. When the net is hoisted up and Hook tells Peter he must fly up and touch their hands, in the wideshot we see the large rope net swinging back and forth in the air. But in the next shot as it focuses on a shot of Jack and Maggie in the net, it is at a complete stand still and is not swinging at all. (00:44:25)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Jack and Maggie are in the large rope net that is hanging from the mast of Hook's ship, they are reaching out of the net trying to grab for their Dad's hands. In one shot Maggie is reaching both of her arms out of the net but in the immediate overhead shot she is only stretching one arm out. (00:45:15)

Continuity mistake: Peter is underwater, bound with ties around his hands but then three mermaids swim to him and help him. However the amount of glitter that is spread on the mermaids differs; this is especially evident with the first bluehaired mermaid that kisses him - look at the amount on her hands as she kisses Peter and rests her hands on his shoulders. (00:48:00)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When the mermaids are saving Peter, the second redheaded mermaid that swims over to him grabs his waist and kisses him. But in the very next facial closeup her hands are suddenly up by his neck. (00:48:20)

Hamster

Visible crew/equipment: Peter Pan is trying to free his children from Captain Hook, but is captured and tied up. After a few minutes, he falls into the sea; but is then saved by three Mermaids. Watch the last Mermaid with green hair, when she is swimming towards him. If you look at the foliage behind her you'll see a diver's hands rapidly flailing in an effort to swim backwards out of the shot. Also, as the mermaid is kissing Peter you can see a quick glimpse of the diver's mask and equipment. Easier to see on DVD - the Netflix version has been slightly obscured, but still visible. (00:48:25)

Continuity mistake: Peter is hoisted out from the sea by the mermaids and then when he reaches the top of the mountain, he rolls down some rocks and through a small stream and then he finishes by sliding down a large area of snow. However at the end of it all, he is extremely dry and clean considering the previous ordeals. (00:48:50)

Hamster

Revealing mistake: When Peter gets out of the water, (after the encounter with the mermaids), he stands up and looks over Neverland. When he does this, the background is obviously a greenscreen shot, because matte lines are visible on Peter. (00:49:20)

Trivia: The name 'Wendy' was popularised for girls by the play of Peter Pan - JM Barrie adapted it from the way a neighbour's daughter mispronounced "friend." However, prior to PP, Wendy was a unisex nickname for both Gwendolyn and Wendell, also a name in its own right to a limited degree. More info here: http://www.wendy.com/wendyweb/history.html.

Question: 1. How did Hook travel to London to kidnap Peter's children? 2. How is it Hook can know with certainty who Peter's kids are, but he doesn't know that Peter Banning is supposed to be Peter Pan? Wouldn't he have to have been following or spying on the family for some time know who the kids are in the first place? 3. How is Hook not able to find where the Lost Boys are hiding when Neverland is a single island?

Phaneron

Answer: 1) Though it is never fully explained, the mystical way Peter Pan would come and go from Never land. 2) It was Smee who was doing the spying. When Hook asked Smee, "This can't be my great and worthy foe?" Smee replied, "I have all the information here." He had a file of paper work on Peter. 3) Hook knew where the Lost Boys were, When Peter asked, what happened to the Never Tree. Tinkerbell said, "Hook burned it when you didn't come back." He considered the Lost Boys not worth the effort. It was Peter, he wanted.
