Revealing mistake: Throughout the film when we see wads of £50 notes they are quite fake as the print of the queen looks far too dark and the colours are off. Surely it wouldn't have been too much bother to put one real note on top of each wad? (01:06:50)
Matchstick Men (2003)
1 revealing mistake
Directed by: Ridley Scott
Starring: Nicolas Cage, Sam Rockwell, Bruce McGill, Alison Lohman, Beth Grant, Bruce Altman, Jenny O'Hara, Steve Eastin
Other mistake: As Roy meets his daughter, he gets out of his car and we see the car door left open as he runs towards her. Near the end of their conversation, the camera focuses on Roy, and through the space between his body and right arm, you can see the side view mirror indicating the door is now shut without anyone touching it. (00:26:50)
Roy: Uhhh... uhhh... That was wrong what you did! And... and... you're a nosy parker! And that's no way for a young lady to behave! And... shame on you.
Trivia: Frank Mercer is the combination of John Mercer and Frank Sinatra, whose discs are played by Ron Waller throughout the movie.
