Other mistake: As Roy meets his daughter, he gets out of his car and we see the car door left open as he runs towards her. Near the end of their conversation, the camera focuses on Roy, and through the space between his body and right arm, you can see the side view mirror indicating the door is now shut without anyone touching it. Big Evil
Roy: I'm not ver good at being a father, all right? I barely get by just being me.
Trivia: The 4 main characters (Roy, Angela, Frank and Frechette) all smoke at some point in the film. This is a clue added by the filmmakers to indicate that the people who smoke in the film are con men, a teaser if you like to indicate that Angela is also involved in the con (This is revealed in the DVD director's commentary).
Question: Why is there a scene where the fake detectives are trying to listen to Roy's conversation with his doc? They weren't really cops, the fake hospital room didn't need microphones, etc.
