Continuity mistake: At the start of the scene where Hairy Hold, Maximillius, Lola and Mr. Clean are looking over the dead bodies, the scene starts with a far away angle and zooms in on the group. From the far away angle, it is only the group and the dead bodies shown in sight and no-one else. Mere seconds then pass and Dex has suddenly appeared out of nowhere. (00:24:25)
Continuity mistake: When Maximillius runs to Dex and Sunshine to warm them about Dan, Dex has the four carrot ring in his hand, but when Dan flies over them a couple seconds later, the ring has disappeared. (00:08:20)
Revealing mistake: When Dan is crashing his plane the first time, just as Maximillius shouts "He's gonna crash again", both he and Sunshine are looking upwards towards Dan. Dex is looking upwards in the same direction, but his eyes are facing a different direction than the direction Sunshine and Maximillius is looking. (00:08:30)
Continuity mistake: In Dex's office, when Dan tells Dex he has a club to run and that he can bet the Copa Banana is going to be buzzing, there is a rug visible beside Dan. Two shots after this, the rug beside Dan has suddenly vanished. The rug reappears when Dan goes to leave the office. (00:13:25)
Continuity mistake: When Cheasel is holding Polar Penguin, he is first holding onto Polar with his left hand. Dex then tells Cheasel to put him down and he is suddenly holding Polar with his right hand. Cheasel then drops Polar in the next shot with his left hand. (00:15:35)
Continuity mistake: Just after the Fat Cat Burglar says "It is you, the great Dex Dogtective who's about to take a fall. Or should I say, be pushed", the shot cuts a wide angle where the hairless hamster henchmen are cornering Dex. Behind Dex is a henchman wearing red who is standing behind Dex on his left, but in the next shot, the henchman in red is suddenly standing behind Dex on his right. (00:03:05)
Continuity mistake: When the Fat Cat Burglar tells the hairless hamster henchmen to exterminate Dex, the shot cuts to Dex quickly gulping a raisin. In this shot, the henchman wearing red is standing directly behind Dex. In the next shot, the henchman in red is suddenly standing more to Dex's right. (00:03:15)
Audio problem: When Dex tells the Fat Cat Burglar he's going to send him to the cooler, the burglar says to Dex "I'm gonna kill you!" but his lips do not match up with the line. (00:03:50)
Plot hole: After Dex saves the baby kittens from the Fat Cat Burglar, he makes his descent to the park where a crowd is waiting for his arrival to celebrate his 500th consecutive case solved; the 500th case being Dex saving the kittens. The problem is, Dex only saved the kittens, and therefore only solved the 500th case, mere seconds before landing in the park, so there is no way the news of this could have broke in that short span of time, and nowhere near enough time for the crowd to be ready in the park for his arrival. The crowd leaves immediately after, so it is clear they were there for Dex and could have not been there for anything else. (00:04:20)
Revealing mistake: When Sunshine is playing ball with the children, she is shown kicking a melon up and down. As the shot pans around, the melon can be seen passing in front of a kid standing towards the foreground. (00:05:40)
Audio problem: When one of the kids kicks a melon ball at Dan's face, the group of children playing can be heard laughing, but only one of the kids actually has their mouth open. The rest of the group are laughing with their mouths entirely closed. (00:05:50)
Audio problem: When the old lady tells Mr. Leonard not to work too late and replies that he is just closing up, he then says "Nothing much happens around here after dark", but his lips don't match the dialogue near the end of the sentence. (00:00:30)
Audio problem: When Vlad Chocool is first introduced, a bird bumps into him and Vlad yells "Watch where you're going. I'm flying here" at it, then gets hit by the Vlasic Pickles stork and yells "Would excuse me kill you? Oh great, now I forgot where I was going." His mouth doesn't match up the dialogue when he says this. (00:01:40)
Revealing mistake: In the establishing shots of the Marketropolis world, a group of people are practicing martial arts in front of the Kung Tofu palace. The people training are visibly the exact same character design duplicated over and over. (00:02:05)
Revealing mistake: At Dex and Sunshine's wedding, when Lola and Francois Fromage hold each other's hands, it is apparent that their hands are not touching each other and they are just mining the action. (01:23:30)
Audio problem: When the hamster henchman fall from the hot air balloon, the Fat Cat Burglar supposedly says "My mother would be so ashamed" but it is apparent that when he gets to the M in ashamed, the line comes to an abrupt stop, despite their being no reason for him to stop speaking. It comes off like he's saying "ashame" rather than "ashamed." (00:03:40)
Revealing mistake: When Dex is first introduced, he is standing on top of a hot air balloon with four hairless hamster henchmen and the Fat Cat Burglar surrounding him. When Dex first appears onscreen, the henchman wearing yellow behind him can be seen with his right leg floating above the hot air balloon surface. (00:02:50)
Revealing mistake: When the lead Brand X soldier accidentally rips his trousers off, his facial expression remains exactly the same and completely still throughout the entire shot. (00:59:15)
Audio problem: When Cheasel is explaining his plan to Dex and Maximillius, his audio doesn't sound as if it was mixed properly during post-production. (01:02:50)
