Revealing mistake: At the hangar junkyard, there were a few 5-gallon gas containers around several "flammable" barrels that The Thief shot at in order to ignite/cause an explosion near Temple's goons. The huge explosion engulfed the whole area, but seconds later it could be seen that the flames were confined behind or within the circle of barrels and the gas cans were not affected. (01:13:10)
Revealing mistake: The front view of the pirates in the golf cart with Darcy and Tom does not show the driver turning the steering wheel at all, which would mean the road was straight, but the when the road becomes visible again, it is diagonally behind the golf cart. (00:36:45)
Continuity mistake: The monkey figurines (or charms) on the beads hanging from the rearview mirror change positions from being more horizontal (side-by-side) to vertical (one below the other, and at different distances). Swaying from the SUV's movement might explain some change, but the weight of the monkeys should have kept their positions more balanced (side-by-side or one at the top and the other at the bottom). Continuity mistake: The group come across an outpost only to find the person inside having been brutally killed and skinned by Indians. A shot from the door shows Will sitting on his horse hunched over, staring into the cabin in shock. When the camera cuts to a close-up of him, his body is now at a different angle, his arms are in a slightly different position, and the light is hitting his coat and hat from a different angle. Continuity mistake: As the SUV pulls off alongside the curb, there are trees with orange-coloured leaves on both sides, but the leaves are green when the ladies are talking in the stopped SUV. Factual error: "SOS" is written in the sand on the beach, close to the shoreline. A helicopter lands nearby and four people walk on the sand, leaving shoe imprints over a wide area. The helicopter departs, and the "SOS" is written as it is before the rescue, completely unscathed. The helicopter's rotating blades would disturb/scatter sand and cover most, if not all, of the "SOS." (00:06:14 - 00:06:35)
Continuity mistake: When Harry wrapped Lily's ankle injury, there was bloody wrapping below the duct tape. When Karl asked to see Lily's leg, there was no blood showing on the material below the tape. Also, Harry did not completely cover the ankle injury with duct tape like he did to keep creatures from smelling the blood on Lily's stomach cut, questioning why the creatures could not smell the blood on Lily's ankle. Continuity mistake: The clock on the wall behind Casey jumped from 10:45 to 11:00 while he was talking to his wife and daughter. At times, the clock appeared to have 3-4 hands and when a hand should have been visible behind his back pointing at "12", no hands could be seen. (00:19:16 - 00:19:46)
Continuity mistake: After the teens parked their vehicles facing an embankment (which was about twice as high as the vehicles' roofs), they walked up the hill to the diner (which wasn't visible). Somehow, one of the teens sitting in the diner was able to see James' SUV being stolen, so they ran outside and down the embankment. The vehicles should not have been visible from inside the diner plus the embankment looked different (e.g, varying heights). (00:07:26 - 00:12:24)
Factual error: The owl that JP was looking at made a "who who" sound. The owl may appear to be a Snowy Owl (one many people are familiar with), but it is a Barn Owl. Character mistake: We see the lead driving on the motorway to get to the cottage. She leaves at junction 6 for Princes Risborough. Which means she is on the M40 that goes to Birmingham. When she arrives the host asks about the drive down and mentions the M4. This is a different road entirely, that goes to Swansea.
Revealing mistake: Driving home from meeting Gigi, there is an image on the windshield of a blue handicapped parking permit/placard that is supposed to be hung on the rearview mirror, but there is no placard hanging - the permit's image is superimposed on the windshield. The image even briefly appears and reappears. (00:34:05)
Continuity mistake: During the "Good Afternoon" number, Ferrell and Reynolds are standing in front of horses. They're fairly close to the two. The scene changes and the horses are further away.
