Revealing mistake: Lily was sitting in the back seat of Andrea's small sedan with her head out the window. Part of Lily's friend's upper left body could be seen to her right but the rest of her body was made to appear as though the door frame was blocking it from view. In alternate shots, the friend's upper body is side-by-side with Lily's - but no sedan has a window that wide, the door frame was not there, and the friend would not be able to sit in a back seat like she was because of the driver's seat. Continuity mistake: The old man bit JP's right arm about 8" above his wrist or a few inches below his elbow. When JP moved and sat down, the bite mark was a few inches lower (about 3" from his wrist). JP also had his right arm down at an angle when he was bit, but (when he had his arm bent upward at the elbow) there's no blood toward his wrist. (00:37:36)
Revealing mistake: At dinner, Chris said he is thinking of trying to escape. There is another table of diners behind him and a window can be seen in the background. The corner of the room can also be seen near the far right of the screen. JP and others turned to look at the window then the window was shown. But it could not have been the window that was behind Chris (there're no obstructions) and the kids' eyes would have been gazing toward the corner of the room. (00:31:19)
Factual error: The owl that JP was looking at made a "who who" sound. The owl may appear to be a Snowy Owl (one many people are familiar with), but it is a Barn Owl. Barn owls are not "true" owls and it is the true owls who "give a hoot." Barn owls don't hoot; they make a screeching or squealing sound which can be piercing (and eerie to some people). (00:32:50)
Revealing mistake: The owl that JP saw was obviously "fake" (stuffed or CGI). Its nose was crooked and its puffy cheeks made it look like it had cheek filler injections; owls have flat faces. (00:32:50)
