Continuity mistake: Will was not wearing sunglasses when he walked up to Knuckles' fence to look between the boards. When the camera shifted to the opposite side of the fence, the person looking through the boards (presumably, Will) was wearing sunglasses. When the camera shifted back to the side of the fence Will was on, Will was not wearing sunglasses. (00:40:15)
Continuity mistake: While driving to Harper's house, Jordan did not have the sun visor down, but it was down when she was backing up after she passed Harper's house, #237. The sun visor was not down when Jordan was going down the driveway to the house. (00:17:15)
Continuity mistake: The position of Esther's bag on her bed changed, going from a few inches away from the foot of the bed to one corner of the bag almost touching the end of the bed. (00:29:30)
Continuity mistake: The bite marks on Doc's sandwich were inconsistent/contradictory. Doc took a corner bite out of his sandwich, then the sandwich was shown with an additional side bite mark (made off-screen?). When the sandwich was shown again, the distinctive bite marks were gone and the side of the sandwich that had been eaten was straight across. Doc was holding the sandwich in his right hand; after another camera shift, Doc was holding the sandwich in his left hand and the unique side bite mark was back. (00:18:22 - 00:18:48)
Continuity mistake: Various views of Chase's dead body were inconsistent. From the two boys' perspective, Chase's body was at the edge of the water and the sun was shining on the water and along/near his left leg. An aerial view showed a canopy of tree leaves over the area, meaning the sunshine would not be able to penetrate the thick tree cover. From the sheriff's view in the tower (unobstructed by trees), the position of Chase's body relative to the fire tower was too far away and at the wrong angle. (00:03:00 - 00:04:08)
Continuity mistake: Overlooking the sudden drop from 1:02 to 0:17 seconds on the countdown clock, the one-second interval beeps are not accurate. In the countdown from 10 seconds, there are approximately or precisely 10 beeps, then the countdown clock shows 4 seconds remaining. (00:19:55)
Continuity mistake: When Jake and Brad are introducing themselves to Maren and Lee, just as Lee is saying "Yeah, just passing through. Is that a problem?", Jake's left hand is in his pocket, but in the next shot, his hand is out of the pocket. (00:54:10)
Continuity mistake: During the "Quiet Game," the taser model changes when Rachel licks it and finishes the challenge.
Continuity mistake: The amount of pain pills in the bottle was inconsistent and it isn't clear how Carlo could have managed to remove the safety cap (apparently without using his injured arm). After Carlo poured about 12 pills onto the counter, the bottle later looked just as full (if not fuller) as it was. (00:28:03 - 00:28:35)
Continuity mistake: During the "Good Afternoon" number, Ferrell and Reynolds are standing in front of horses. They're fairly close to the two. The scene changes and the horses are further away.
Continuity mistake: The way Margot's bag/purse was set on the bed (handles hanging over the foot) was different (near the center) when Margot leaned/fell backwards onto the bed. Also, when Margot jumped off the bed, the purse was back to being closer to the foot of the bed with the handles hanging somewhat over the side. (00:23:34 - 00:28:51)
Continuity mistake: At the start of the movie when the guys are arguing on the porch the guy on the ground suddenly appears to be off the porch in the next shot on the ground.
Continuity mistake: When the roasted marshmallow landed on the back of the camper's head, it was relatively flat and spanned from the middle top to the right top/side with some charred marshmallow splattered almost to the center of the man's head. After a camera shift, the marshmallow was sticking up near the right top of the man's head, was shaped like a whole marshmallow, and was still largely white instead of mostly black/charred. Continuity mistake: Gabby's head is turned to her left. She turns to her right, but she is instantly back to her head turned to her left, as if she never turned her head. (01:22:57)
Continuity mistake: The bite patterns on Floop's sandwich obviously are not coordinated to show accurate progression. But precise variations would require pausing. At one point, Floop takes a bite. But when the camera suddenly shifts, he looks like he does not just take a bite. (00:19:56 - 00:20:18)
Continuity mistake: Numerous times throughout the movie (largely over the course of one day) Abby's hair was inconsistent within and between scenes. It ranged from neatly combed straight back with no obvious part and a low or higher bun to relatively neatly combed back but angled to the right with a slight or obvious part to messy and frizzy, sometimes with strands dangling in the right front or behind her left ear. With all the "action" going on, she did not have the time or opportunity to comb or fix her hair.
Continuity mistake: In Enchanted, Morgan Phillip's eyes were brown. In this film, her eyes are blue.
Continuity mistake: The straws in the three glasses in front of Abby are at different angles several times. (00:10:55)
Continuity mistake: Dan and Allen were close together when they were talking on the dirt road. Based on how far Allen threw the blindfold toward Dan's feet, Dan's feet/boots should have been visible. The blindfold was close to Dan's feet in the wider shot. (00:15:13)
Continuity mistake: Although Adeline has her mouth to the ground (eating grass), her head is suddenly upright and still in a few views of Kay or Terry. The most noticeable sudden change in Adeline's head being upright occurs right after Adam hugs her. (00:34:34 - 00:35:00)
