Continuity mistake: The bite marks on Doc's sandwich were inconsistent/contradictory. Doc took a corner bite out of his sandwich, then the sandwich was shown with an additional side bite mark (made off-screen?). When the sandwich was shown again, the distinctive bite marks were gone and the side of the sandwich that had been eaten was straight across. Doc was holding the sandwich in his right hand; after another camera shift, Doc was holding the sandwich in his left hand and the unique side bite mark was back. (00:18:22 - 00:18:48)
Continuity mistake: The view from the (unseen) car driving toward the distant house on a hill showed fog well above the pine trees, but when the car/limo got to the house/mansion (10 seconds later), there was no fog. (00:02:17)
Continuity mistake: The way Banshee's bangs are combed back vary a few times in a couple minutes (elevator fight scene). Sometimes, the left side is higher than the right side and other times the highest point is near the middle of her forehead. The "curve" at which the bangs are combed toward the right side also vary, from little to no curve to wavier toward the right. (00:06:36 - 00:07:57)
Continuity mistake: The views of Pinero's dead "trophy wife" from opposite sides of the bed were not consistent. From Seth's view, Pinero's wife was lying mostly on her right side with her hair covering her head/neck but otherwise not visible, and her right arm extended outward from her waist area. From the other side of the bed, Pinero's wife's long wavy hair was over her left breast and should have been visible from Seth's position but was not. Continuity mistake: The amount of pain pills in the bottle was inconsistent and it isn't clear how Carlo could have managed to remove the safety cap (apparently without using his injured arm). After Carlo poured about 12 pills onto the counter, the bottle later looked just as full (if not fuller) as it was. (00:28:03 - 00:28:35)
Continuity mistake: When Joey is talking to Voight about the puzzle box and Voight tells him to "Keep going," pay attention. It's kind of hard to notice, but if you look closely, in the over-the-shoulder shot facing Joey, you can tell that Voight is standing straight, facing Joey before it cuts. When it cuts to the opposite angle, suddenly Voight's body has rotated about 90° (to his right).
Continuity mistake: The top of Brecken's head was close to (within a few inches of) the headboard before his mother brought the pillow. When his mother put the pillow over his face and the camera shifted to a right-side rear view, the upper part of the bed was raised about 45°. When Lang Dotrice (Brecken's father) arrived and sat on his bed, the pillow used to smother Brecken was at least a foot away from the headboard and Brecken's head (still under the pillow) was about a yard away from the headboard. Continuity mistake: Young Norma Jean is shown a photo of her father placed at the head of her bed. It has him facing right and there is a large white defect in the photo at the upper left corner. When the photo is "talking" to her in a succeeding scene, he is facing left, and the defect is on the upper right corner.
Continuity mistake: The amount of Kyle's facial hair changes (i.e, grows too much/fast) from the beginning of the scene when he is on the rock talking to Jaelyn to the end of the scene when he is standing in the water. Kyle's facial hair is back to its lesser amount when he is in the villa; it isn't clear how much time has passed, but it doesn't appear to be much. (00:17:06 - 00:20:28)
Continuity mistake: The old man bit JP's right arm about 8" above his wrist or a few inches below his elbow. When JP moved and sat down, the bite mark was a few inches lower (about 3" from his wrist). JP also had his right arm down at an angle when he was bit, but (when he had his arm bent upward at the elbow) there's no blood toward his wrist. (00:37:36)
Continuity mistake: The clock on the wall at Pee Wee's Pawn Shop advanced from about 12:00 to 12:05 when Frank was talking to Jerry, but it was back to around 12:01 after a few camera shifts. (00:05:59 - 00:06:24)
Continuity mistake: The kitchen walls were distorted (at awkward angles), but Zero got to the house around 6:46 and talked to Shelly for a short period of time. The now-blurred clock on the wall appeared to advance to almost 6:47, keeping a reasonably approximate pace with the scene's progress. However, only about 30 seconds passed until Brandon came in, but the clock (no longer blurred) had jumped to 6:50. (00:28:00 - 00:28:50)
Continuity mistake: Isaac told Christine he would give Elijah his phone back and grabbed it from her. Isaac had the phone in his right hand when he turned to go out the door. When Isaac came out the front door, he was not holding the phone in his hand and it did not look like the phone was in any of his pockets. Isaac had police equipment around his belt (not the phone). Continuity mistake: The amount of wine in Annie's glass (as well as Nic's) decreases then increases without her adding any. Annie had almost one-half a glass of wine when she poured some into Nic's glass, then it was closer to one-fourth full. A little later, Annie's glass appeared to have the amount she initially had when she approached Nic. (00:13:59)
Continuity mistake: The handcuff around Ava's right wrist looks loose enough for her to free herself simply by pulling her hand through it. In a later shot, the handcuff is closed almost against her skin. (00:54:30 - 01:00:39)
Continuity mistake: At the start, a door opens up to reveal Jack standing there before going down a hallway. In this first shot, he is not wearing the ceremonial ribbon thing around his neck but rather holding it in his hand. Then suddenly it appears already around his neck in the next shot of him from behind and then visible from the front. It's a little more visible or evidently missing in the colour version of the film. (00:02:21)
Continuity mistake: The orange feather toy that was in the cat bed with the cat when Sam got to the bookstore was not there a couple camera shifts later. (00:25:33 - 00:26:25)
Continuity mistake: After Kath pulled up to the cabin, the position of her car changed. Kath drove parallel to the fence before turning to the right about 45° toward the front door, but when she got out of her car, its rear end was perpendicular to the fence. The angle of the shot of Al coming out the front door would also place Kath's car more pendicular to the cabin instead of at an angle, and parallel to the fence instead of at an angle. Continuity mistake: Jimmy's Suburban had a stick-on blind spot mirror on the driver's side (also shown on CCTV when he left the grocery store near the beginning of the movie), but the blind spot mirror was not there when he was driving away to get Natasha on a boat. (01:22:55 - 01:25:58)
Continuity mistake: While driving to Harper's house, Jordan did not have the sun visor down, but it was down when she was backing up after she passed Harper's house, #237. The sun visor was not down when Jordan was going down the driveway to the house. (00:17:15)
