Continuity mistake: The old man bit JP's right arm about 8" above his wrist or a few inches below his elbow. When JP moved and sat down, the bite mark was a few inches lower (about 3" from his wrist). JP also had his right arm down at an angle when he was bit, but (when he had his arm bent upward at the elbow) there's no blood toward his wrist. (00:37:36)
Continuity mistake: A full moon was shown, but it was quite dark even around the campfire. When the man came and said there was something in the field, the sky was black. About a minute later when Cameron tripped/fell, there was (moon) light near the ground. (00:16:09 - 00:18:19)
Continuity mistake: At various points throughout the movie, the position of the lamp on the end table (to Charlie's left where he usually sits on the couch) changes, from the base being in the back corner, to mid-way along the chair's arm, to being centered along the rear edge, to near the middle of the table, etc. As the lamp's position changes, the other objects on the table also change. Suggested correction: "At various points throughout the movie" so he moved his lamp. If the shots aren't consecutive (screenshot, please) this is not a continuity error.
Continuity mistake: After Sophie got into bed (with her arms under the blanket), the first and last shots showed her long curly hair sprawled over her left chest area. In-between shots showed her hair hanging along the side of her left shoulder. (00:24:30)
Continuity mistake: Before Eamon hung his jacket and hat on the nails, there were three nails close together near the right side of the board. When he was hanging his jacket and hat, there were only two nails, which appeared to have more distance between them. When the camera shifted, there were a couple nails protruding to the left of the hat. The single nail that was on the far left side of the board turned into two nails. (00:04:38)
Continuity mistake: The "Santa" carrying the Molotov Cocktail walked up the steps and past the decorated handrail, but he was standing within the length of the handrail (about mid-way) when the camera shifted from the right-rear to left-rear side. (00:02:40)
Continuity mistake: Ava sees the stack of mail on the table. She sweeps her hand (fingertips and envelopes are off-screen), as she slides the top envelope closer. Ava picks up the top envelope, as if her hand sweep does not move any of the envelopes (and serves no purpose). (00:05:48)
Continuity mistake: During their first encounter (the first we see in the movie, at least), Sheila sits next to Gary, and they both order Old Fashioned. Phil the Bartender makes a comment on that, and she shoos him off. Look at Kaley Cuoco 's bag; one of the straps keeps going on/off the top of the bag between shots. (00:03:30)
Continuity mistake: Towards the beginning of the movie, Diana is chased by the killer in a white van. They are inside an underpass, but there's a rear mirror view that shows a bus stop and trees. (00:16:05)
Continuity mistake: Jimmy's Suburban had a stick-on blind spot mirror on the driver's side (also shown on CCTV when he left the grocery store near the beginning of the movie), but the blind spot mirror was not there when he was driving away to get Natasha on a boat. (01:22:55 - 01:25:58)
Continuity mistake: The kitchen walls were distorted (at awkward angles), but Zero got to the house around 6:46 and talked to Shelly for a short period of time. The now-blurred clock on the wall appeared to advance to almost 6:47, keeping a reasonably approximate pace with the scene's progress. However, only about 30 seconds passed until Brandon came in, but the clock (no longer blurred) had jumped to 6:50. (00:28:00 - 00:28:50)
Continuity mistake: When The Artist is talking on the phone to Detective Mary Kelly, sometimes his long, wavy hair behind the phone is flat and other times fluffy (extending wider than the phone). (00:14:45)
Continuity mistake: Before the family went outside, the fire extinguisher was part-way below the window sill. When Peter (father) went inside, the fire extinguisher was away from the window sill (more toward the right of the screen). (00:07:33 - 00:09:12)
Continuity mistake: The champagne bottle was behind some candles on the table, but in front of them and in the corner of the table when Danny picked it up. The number and arrangement of the (CGI) candles also varied with close-up versus more distant views. (00:04:42)
Continuity mistake: When the women's legs are shown walking from the smoke, the one wearing a blue skirt and white socks has her left sock fall down in the scene. In the next scene, it is back up again.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the flashback in Greece, the pieces on and around the chessboard change. When we first see the board, most of the white pieces are on the back row, and then we see 2 pawns removed. In the next shot, when the king is knocked over, some of the white pieces on the back row have moved and there're several pieces that have been removed.
Continuity mistake: Gilbert/Robert was wearing a red pocket square (left lapel) when he was in the phone booth, but not when he came out of the hotel. (00:03:38 - 00:04:36)
Continuity mistake: When Tess opens the lockbox at the beginning and realises the key is missing, she goes from having her left hand on the box to off it instantly between cuts when she finally gets it open.
Continuity mistake: When Private Connors got out of the front passenger side of the truck, there were no orange "cones" visible in front of the truck, but there was a toppled one after a camera shift that should have been visible earlier. Also, there was a toppled orange cone and an upright one behind the truck, which were not there when the truck was approaching that spot on the road (and would have smashed both had they been there when driving through that section of the road). Continuity mistake: Marge had her left hand on a Win Fall ticket that (supposedly) was coming out of the printer on the side of the machine. Marge moved her hand away without removing the ticket. When the camera shifted, the ticket was not there. (00:54:10)
