Continuity mistake: At the concert before Murata starts performing, a woman is holding a baby. The baby is shown holding a packet in its arm, with the arm resting. It then cuts to a different angle, where the baby's arm is suddenly raised slightly. (00:49:45)
Continuity mistake: In Central Park before meeting the toaster client, Peter Sarsgaard in the close-up has 2 tuning forks in his right hand and one in the left, but in the wider shot he has two in his left and one in his right as he picks up the mallet. (00:07:10)
Continuity mistake: Zeke is in the kitchen with his daughter. He is checking out Dick's driving license; in the close-up he is holding it with his left hand, but in the following shot, as she asks him "Where'd you find it?" he is holding it in his right hand. (00:10:15)
Continuity mistake: At the start of the film, a man is giving a tour of a building under reconstruction to some potential buyers. One shot, as he's telling them that this sits on a 14-acre lot, there are just 3 people as they walk through a doorway. The film jump cuts to a closer angle, and suddenly a 4th person appears in front of them from thin air. (00:02:34)
Continuity mistake: The cigarette the homeless man offered to Frank had a brown filter but was white when Frank had it in his mouth. (00:39:10)
Continuity mistake: Nicky's facial hair shows less growth at times, within and between scenes. In particular, the amount of hair above and below his lips is the most obvious, but the darker (longer) and lighter (shorter) hair around the bottom of his face is also noticeable, as is the presence or absence of hair on his cheeks. Continuity mistake: Andy has his jacket unzipped over a hoodie when he is walking home. When the camera shifts, Andy's jacket is zipped. When Andy opens the door to get into his apartment, he does not have his jacket or hoodie on and does not appear to be carrying them or his backpack. (00:32:35)
Continuity mistake: Richard is eating a donut at the end. He takes several bites from it. After the FBI leaves and Richard has read the note, the donut is largely intact again.
Continuity mistake: The girl and guy are in a hotel room and she kisses him good bye. You see her go out of the door and the door handle is on the left side and no chain hanging. Then when you see the door a few seconds later the door handle is on the right and the chain is latched.
Continuity mistake: When we see Erin and Leah for the first time, they're talking and smoochin'. Despite the conversation being continuous, the reciprocal position of their hands changes abruptly between shots at the beginning (Erin's hand is on the outside of Leah's, then on the inside, then outside again). Continuity mistake: The protagonists escaped from captivity and managed to return to Harry's palace. Luka decides to leave to go look for his mother. Harry seems to send him off, and he is standing in the middle of the stairs, about 4 steps below the guard. Harry at this point is in close-up; the guard is not visible, and at the next cut somehow Harry shoves him off as if he were standing directly behind him. (00:16:00)
Continuity mistake: The lamp above the picture on the wall at the karate school/studio changes in appearance a few times. The first time Casey visited the school, the light bulb was covered by the lamp shade (which was aimed toward the picture); the bulb was not visible but it cast light onto the picture. When the picture was blurred behind Sensei, there was a round circle totally outside of the shade to represent the light bulb (which should have been inside the lamp shade and not visible). Continuity mistake: When the cop tells Tree to drop the ax, she lets go of it and puts her hands up. However, her hands raise and lower instantly between cuts several times depending on the angle. On the angle facing her front, her hands are up by her head. But in the angle behind her, they are down by her shoulders.
Continuity mistake: Ellen and Joe just got out of the motel room and begin walking towards the marina. Left of frame, a young couple (she has a cap and denim, he has a full carrot top and a bright red plaid shirt, can't miss them) walking up some stairs on the left, going in the same direction as they do, different path. At the next cut, they are walking down the same boardwalk as Ellen and Joe and in the opposite direction. (00:04:30)
Continuity mistake: The dorky protagonist just bumped into the bike shop girl. She tells him "It's all good, man", to which he replies asking how's the bike. Behind him, a woman with a dog makes her appearance. Over 10 seconds of conversation pass, and the woman is still where she was, but in the shot that follows, when she says "I'm Cate, by the way", the woman warped past him, and is now behind her to the opposite end of the sidewalk. Continuity mistake: Young Theo Decker is having his first dinner with the Barbours. Seeing that he's not eating much, Nicole Kidman asks him if he would like her to ask the maid Etta to make something else. On Theo's right, Andy is holding the fork with his right hand. As Theo answers "I'm not hungry", Andy's left hand suddenly is on the table too. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: In the prologue, the Nazis storm the Bresson residence. The elder Professor Bresson is sitting at his desk, back turned to them. There's an open fountain pen next to him, right by a paper sheet, but when Bresson answers rather defiantly to the bad guys, the paper sheet suddenly has disappeared. (00:02:15)
Continuity mistake: The clocks are not coordinated, affecting the time frame. Josh and Jen are decorating the Christmas tree at 8:08 PM. Josh goes to his room, "past his bedtime." Josh writes his list for Santa. At 7:15, Josh hears a car drive up, so he looks out the window. Dad meets mom in the driveway and says, "It's almost midnight." (00:05:29 - 00:07:58)
Continuity mistake: Right at the beginning, two dumb kids looking for drugs are forced to make a spontaneous donation to the cult. Before the stream starts the pink polo one does not have the scooter on his shoulder, which is back when the stream starts, then off again.
