Continuity mistake: Buddy just tried to pull into a Ponzi scheme a guy at the diner's. He sits down and talks to his wife. Notice that before the first cut he switches grip on the stack of papers, but in the reverse shot he's back holding them like at the beginning. (00:06:50)
Continuity mistake: Dr. Mitchell's tie was sticking out below the back side of his shirt collar when he approached the front desk but not a few seconds later when he was turning to see Carson or when the receptionist was handing him a doctor's white coat. Dr. Mitchell's tie extended below the back collar again when he was putting on the white coat. (00:09:15)
Continuity mistake: Packets of Synchronic were placed on top of the garbage already in the can and were inconsistent from one shot to another. Also, the amount of crumbled papers under the Synchronic decreased. (It is also interesting that no new garbage was placed in the can on top of the Synchronic packets even though over one day had passed).
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the girl gets assaulted from the back: you see at first exactly from the shot from behind that the backpack she is carrying escapes her arms, but in the subsequent shot she is still holding it. (00:02:10)
Continuity mistake: The evil stepsisters shove Kat at the feet of Dominic with latte splattered all over her face. But the mess looks different in the various shots. For instance, in the close-up when he asks her if she's okay and if she hurt herself there's a big splotch by the corner of her mouth, which was not there earlier (she was dirty under the nose at most) and is gone in the next shot. Continuity mistake: When Nicolas Cage aka Frank Walsh first shoots a blow dart at Kevin Durand aka Richard Loffler he hits him in the left shoulder. Ten seconds later Kevin he pulls the dart out of his right shoulder. (01:23:15)
Continuity mistake: In a flashback inside a pub, the protagonist writes his number on a coaster to hit on the waitress. During the scene, the coaster changes position repeatedly between shots. (00:25:55)
Continuity mistake: After Sara's mother sits at the table, the left side of Sara's hair suddenly has two clumps of strands running down her cheek and flipped in front of her chin. Sara's hair changes a few times with different camera angles. (00:44:52)
Continuity mistake: Mario was chewing a mouthful, then lifted his drink to wash down the food, but when the camera shifted, he was back to chewing a mouthful. (00:01:59)
Continuity mistake: The way Linda holds her coffee cup changes numerous times, often instantly with front versus rear views. The handle switches (changes 90° or 180°) from facing towards her chest to her left knee to opposite her chest while holding the cup between her bent knees, which vary in distance apart. Continuity mistake: After the intro, the protagonist receives a phone call from her sister. When she turns around to check out of the TV screen, one of her fellow swimmers, with quite characteristic purple hair, is immediately seen sitting down. Back to the view from inside the locker, the same aubergine-haired girl is coming from the lockers to the benches, to go sit. (00:03:45)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of Aiai Liu's flashback, she is on a boat. Fellow prostitute Ping leans forward towards Hua saying he should treat them all fairly. Aiai she is intently cleaning a fingernail in one shot, immediately after she has the same hand placed on her cheek. (00:32:45)
Continuity mistake: When Jo proposes to her sisters that they admit Laurie into their club, her pose changes between shots. (00:41:49)
Continuity mistake: Phil put 7 bottles of "Ouzo" in his basket (and left two on the display). When he was driving away, there were 11 bottles of "Ouzo" in the box on his seat. Also, when Phil was drinking on the bridge, the "Ouzo" was dark-colored (but "Ouzo" is clear or cloudy white). (00:15:32 - 00:24:14)
Continuity mistake: After take-off, Mr. Anderson's hair changes a few times while he was talking to Rochelle. His bangs are combed back, but then he has strands hanging down his forehead and the top of his hair is dishevelled. After the camera shifts to Rochelle and back, Mr. Anderson no longer has the strands down his forehead but the right side is messy. When the camera shifts again, Mr. Anderson's hair is neatly combed back. (00:14:54 - 00:15:25)
Continuity mistake: Molly interjects as the journalists are putting Katherine in a tough spot: she slips a hand around her waist in the close-ups, but the hand is not there in the wider shot. (00:46:40)
Continuity mistake: Last scene, camera front, he's strolling her back. Next view from behind, she's strolling his back. The front view, he's still stroking her back.
Continuity mistake: The inspector is showing the singer the gruesome images of her friend. As he says "It's how we identified the remains", she raises her right hand, but in the next shot it's with the left hand that she's touching her lips. (00:04:45)
Continuity mistake: The location and intensity of Lavinia's purple hair highlights vary throughout the movie. For example, the purple highlights on the right side were far more pronounced (two wide, distinct, vivid lines) when she got home compared to when she first met Ward. Lavinia rode her horse Comet home, so her hair would have been wind-blown and the highlights would not have been likely to be neatly straight down, especially since she has long curly hair. Continuity mistake: When Aladdin deals with the three objects in front of the tic-tac-toe pattern, the ones which have vases on top with arms have a different orientation in every shot. (00:16:45)
