Revealing mistake: While driving the Mercedes to the house of grandma, the gauges on the dashboard show speed is zero and the engine is cold.

Character mistake: Nicole Johnson, a criminology professor, after enumerating a number of facets of jurisprudence, states that following these tenets is, "The only way the criminal justice system can ever be perfect." As a professor, she is surely aware that, despite following the pronouncements in the referenced book, criminal justice is far from perfect.
Continuity mistake: When George Clooney is deciding whether or not his family's land holding will be sold to a corporation, he is sitting with two of his cousins. From a front view, his cousin, Hugh, opens a book. Then the shot switches to a side view, and it shows Hugh still opening the book.
Continuity mistake: When Boyle arrives in his police car at the house where McCormick is murdered, he turns off his engine and his windscreen wipers are pointing towards the sky. In the next shot you see the windscreen wipers in their normal position again.
Continuity mistake: After Brendan throws off Koba's guillotine he goes in an arm bar trapping Koba's right arm, however when Koba slips out Brendan is shown pinning his left arm instead.
Continuity mistake: In the restaurant scene Nathan has a glass in his right hand on the table. The next shot appears the glass on the table without his hand, and then again in Nathan's hand.
Revealing mistake: The hero breaks through a window from a balcony into an apartment. The way it shatters and crumbles into such small pieces indicates that it is breakaway glass, not regular window glass, obviously for the safety of the actor during the stunt. (00:55:25)

Other mistake: Jacob takes Cal shopping. In the shot during which Jacob says to Cal "the skin under your eyes is starting to look like Hugh Hefner's ball sack," the film is flipped and the viewer is watching a reverse (or mirror) image. This is revealed principally by the fact that the emblem on Cal's Polo shirt is on the right side of his chest as opposed to his left.
Continuity mistake: Dylan and Jamie roll under a garage door with sandwiches in their hands. They both walk up the stairs with the sandwiches. Continuity mistake: In the scene where the mother and boss of the company is giving a speech, in one shot the puppy she is holding is resting on her shoulder; in the next shot it is lying in her arms, and then finally in the next shot it is back to resting on her shoulder.
