Continuity mistake: At the end, Trent texts Malcolm that he's "in library", however when Malcolm looks at the text on his phone, the "in" is missing.
Continuity mistake: A bear escapes from the zoo and Benjamin finds him in the woods. The bear knocks the gun from Benjamin's hands, then faces him and growls. In the close-up, Benjamin's hair is blowing, presumably from the force of the growl, but in the preceding and following long shots, his hair is motionless.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie when Rachel enters that bar and is welcomed with the surprise party, Darcy comes and puts a colorful necklace around Rachel's neck. In the next shot, Rachel doesn't have the necklace anymore and Darcy is putting it once again around Rachel's neck.
Other mistake: To get revenge against the reds for chopping off his hat, Benny goes inside the house to use the computer to change the woman's lawn mower order. Benny never hits the 'ENTER' key to complete things. Things are completed when he steps on the 'SPACEBAR'. Same thing happens later when Benny is ordering a female flamingo.
Audio problem: In Notes II, Madame Giry voice is out of sync as she says,"Fear his fury.".
Continuity mistake: After sex, Gerry sits next to Grace on the bed and his pink shirt is unbuttoned. Several shots throughout the conversation whilst on the bed and his shirt buttons are now done up, but when he gets up his shirt is now unbuttoned again.
Continuity mistake: J. Edgar takes his secretary-to-be on a date and tries to impress her by showing off his card system for cataloguing books in the Library of Congress. When he runs to the book shelves he brushes past an open book set up on a display stand - sitting on a sheet of glass. The glass moves when he touches it and hangs off the edge of the table. When he returns seconds later the glass is back in place, centered on the table. His date did not move; she was still standing where he left her a few feet away and they were the only two people in the Library.
Continuity mistake: When Charley and Ed are arguing in the abandoned house, the light switches on the wall next to Ed change positions repeatedly between shots even though neither of the characters ever touch them.
Factual error: The wolves in this movie must be some sort of mutant super wolf. North American Grey wolves are not lion sized killing machines. They are typically smaller, by weight, than an average German Shepherd.
Continuity mistake: When Lucy comes home at the beginning of the movie she quickly buttons the top of her dress. While eating dinner, it is open and then buttoned again between shots.
Other mistake: At the end of the movie, when Sabrina's reading the note from Pam, the note's first two lines say "I'm sorry. I just wanted what was best for my son." The voice over says "I'm sorry. I was wrong."
Factual error: A Great Gray Owl is depicted living in the George Washington National Forest. However, this species is not native to Virginia.
Plot hole: Hobson passes away in the night, and no one notices until Arthur wakes the next morning, finds her unresponsive and cold, then screams for the nurse. Hobson was hooked up to monitors to warn the nurse (and Arthur) of this very thing, and that nurse would have been making regular checks on her during the night; it's what she's being paid to do. There is absolutely no way it could have played out this way, except in a film that needs sudden drama.
Continuity mistake: When the hurricane hits, you see the "Clearwater animal rescue" sign break apart. After the storm passes, the sign is complete again (albeit missing some letters) on the ground.
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene just before Victoria descends into the cave, she's wearing two headlights, the bigger one is on her right side and the smaller one is on her left side. In the next scene while she is talking to Josh, the position of those two headlights changed. (00:15:10)
Continuity mistake: None of the games in Goon were played in Manitoba, but every rink has Manitoba Liquor Commission advertising on the boards. In the game played in Quebec the advertising on the boards disappears in the zoomed out camera shots and you can see the MTS Centre logo on the scoreboard.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Margaret Thatcher is teaching her daughter Carol to drive, you see Margaret's window partially open but just as they near-hit the cyclist, her window is down just enough for her to stick her hand out but in the next shot its back to being partially open.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Deputy Rose Gammon approaches the car with the body of Cindy Van Alden in it, the position of the car changes between shots. From within the police car, the car with the body is parked diagonally with the rear end in the road. From the long shot, the car is off the road and parallel to it.
Plot hole: The very last scene shows Mary building a wall, apparently in her belfry. But there should still be the original wall that Rose built, with the hole in it that Mary smashed in. By killing Rose / having killed Rose, she prevents further harm, but all effects that took place before that (also the building of the wall), should stay (like her scars). It is very unlikely Mary broke down the whole wall just to add another body. (01:28:25)
Factual error: During scenes set in the early Noughties (one of Dex and Emma talking on a rooftop at night, and another of Dex crossing the river on a bus), modern buildings are shown on the skyline, including the Heron Tower (2009), the tallest building in the City at the time of filming, but it didn't exist at the time the scene is set.
