Factual error: The construction of Hadrian's Wall as shown at the end of the film is not historically accurate. A wooden wall was constructed first with a deep ditch on either side. One of the ditches should be visible as the characters approach the wall but it is not. The stone wall shown being constructed was not added until later and then it was constructed in sections. It did not become a continuous stone wall until some years later. In addition, the stone wall shown is not wide enough. Hadrian's Wall is around 2 meters wide at the top and even today you can comfortably walk on top of it.
Continuity mistake: When Derek closes up his back pack, you can see that it falls open again. When both Derek and Becca walk into the food hall, the backpack is now closed.
Character mistake: Dr. Stonehill posts a sign that says "KEEP YOUR DAMN FOOD AND DRINK OUT OF MY REFRIDGERATOR !" Refrigerator is spelled wrong, "REFRIDGERATOR" as if the word is "Fridge" which is isn't. (00:52:00)
Continuity mistake: Just before Secretariat's first race, the main characters are discussing tactics in the parade ring. In the background is a jockey in pink and gold colours standing by his horse. When the shot changes angles he is mounted and being led out onto the race track. This means that he would have only taken one second to mount and travel a distance of about 10 meters. A couple of shots later he suddenly appears again, but this time he is being led into the saddling-up area, even though the jockey is already on board.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, Ethan tells Peter that he had his wallet all along. Peter steps forward from the car wearing his glasses. In the very next shot, they are gone and nowhere to be seen. (01:16:30)
Factual error: Early in the film following Lincoln's assassination, we see a newspaper stating that Lincoln's body is being transported to his final resting place of "Springfield IL". At that time the state either wouldn't have been shortened, or "Ill." would have been used. The two letter state name abbreviations were not introduced until the 1960s, at the same time as ZIP codes.
Factual error: When Barry swallows the car key on the way to the airport, he holds and swallows a Ford car key, yet they are driving a Citroen Xsara. (00:08:18)
Continuity mistake: When Driver shoots Cop at the end, Cop falls to the floor and we see around his head there is no mobile phone. When the investigators are looking at Cop's body, a phone has appeared by his head that would have been visible in earlier shots. (01:30:00)
Revealing mistake: In the final scene we see a bomb disposal technician disarming a nuclear bomb. The screen of the laptop is shown in one brief shot. It displays a database program of some sort, and has been filled in, perhaps to look like it contains lots of helpful, bomb disarming related information. However, it is actually just random button mashing; most of the 'codes' consist of the letters 'dfgty'. Look at where they are on the keyboard. Very lazy: dgght dfhdftyh fghrthy.
Factual error: A fire breaks out in the hospital due to one of Abby's victims being exposed to sunlight as she's turning into a vampire, destroying that vampire and a burning a nurse to death. Modern hospitals have fire sprinklers, fire extinguishers, etc. and sensors/alarms that the fire would have activated.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Beau and Chiles are in the hotel room, with Canter knocking on the door, Chiles puts on her shirt twice.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Rachel McAdams goes to Patrick Wilson's office to explain why she left the bar so abruptly the night before, there are four TV monitors behind her as she does those weird charade movements. Only one monitor has a picture. The picture is of the New Jersey anchors of the job from which she was previously fired. Also, the characters in the picture never move.
Continuity mistake: After Rita and Eddie's fridge is repossessed they are arguing outside their flat. On the wall outside their neighbours' flat there is a wheeled trolley or pushchair hanging on the wall. This disappears and then reappears several times during this sequence of the film.
Continuity mistake: Neither Abra, Betty or her kids age a single bit in a time span of 20 years.
Continuity mistake: When Ree visits a girl holding a baby, when she's about to leave the baby's hat swaps from off to on between shots.
Continuity mistake: After Dave stabs Ravi, the shot cuts to Kurtis running through the woods trying to escape. Ravi (in the clown costume) is seen among the ones pursuing him, but he's either dead or dying at this point, and, obviously, cannot chase someone while riding an ATV. It's a recycled shot from when Tommy was attempting to escape.
Suggested correction: It isn't Ravi on the ATV. Towards the beginning you see Dane on the stairs talking to 3 students, a little later on in the cafeteria you see the same 3 students sitting at a table and the shots keep switching between them and Dane and his friends, and Dane says something like "and they will be in the woods dressed in the same outfits/costumes as us." It's meant to confuse the cops when they show up.
Continuity mistake: When Wally is talking to Sebastian in his bed, the latter has lost two of his bottom teeth. For most of the rest of the movie they are there. In the last scene they are gone again.
Factual error: In the scene where they are in the U.K, a little boy is hit by a van and you can hear the police and medical services coming. The sirens are American sirens which differ greatly from the High Low pitch that the U.k Is famous for and do not fit the scene at all.
Factual error: The attack on the OPEC meeting in Vienna takes place on December 21. Yet, when Carlos' team exits the tram, the trees are full with green summer leaves and the sun shines as it would on a high summer day.
Factual error: There's a scene where a woman's son and Kahn are playing on an Xbox. The movie was set around the time when 9/11 happened and the console was not even released at that time. You can tell from the controller they were using. It was white and had a battery underneath for wireless gaming.
