Continuity mistake: While Walt is out of his car and arguing with the police officer, there are other cars visible in the far distance behind him. The cars appear and disappear in between shots, there isn't time for them to pass and we don't hear them pass. (00:03:30)

The Conspirator (2010)
Factual error: Early in the film following Lincoln's assassination, we see a newspaper stating that Lincoln's body is being transported to his final resting place of "Springfield IL". At that time the state either wouldn't have been shortened, or "Ill." would have been used. The two letter state name abbreviations were not introduced until the 1960s, at the same time as ZIP codes.

Father Ted (1995)
Revealing mistake: When Jack's wheelchair is at the top of the cliff and about to fall off, it's obviously a stuntman and not Frank Kelly sitting in it. Similarly, when the wheelchair falls, the dummy used isn't even dressed like Jack. (00:14:25)

The Plague - S2-E6
Audio problem: When Bishop Brennan calls for the first time at the start of the episode, Ted panics and pretends to be French before hanging up the phone. You can still hear Bishop Brennan talking on the other end of the line for a few moments after Ted hangs up, which obviously shouldn't be possible.

Bottom (1991)
Continuity mistake: When Ritchie, Eddie, Spudgun and Dave Hedgehog enter the pub with the fake money and order drinks, Ritchie asks for Absinthe but is told that the pub doesn't have any and is given Pernod instead. Later, when the £5000 pub quiz poster is pointed out, Ritchie says he's had half a pint of Absinthe and can't see anything. Where did the Absinthe come from if the pub didn't have any earlier in the episode and they never left?

The Young Ones (1982)
Interesting - S1-E5
Revealing mistake: When Rik Mayall is in the middle of the doorway dancing to the Human League record, you can see him abruptly change his dance steps and deliberately move across to his left (our right) to give the two Police officers room to get past him to destroy the record player. He had his back to the front door the whole time and wouldn't have been able to see them come in.

Apocalypse - S1-E4
Revealing mistake: After the piano falls from the ceiling, Ritchie rumbles Eddie's "plan" and kicks him out of the flat. When Eddie is pushed out the front door and down the stairs you can see him falling to begin with, but halfway through he actually stops as if he's kneeling, then ducks out of shot. The sound effects lead us to believe that he's fallen all the way down the stairs and been attacked by a pack of dogs at the bottom.

Ashes to Ashes (2008)
Factual error: During the motorbike chase at the start, the Audi screeches around a corner and narrowly misses a pedestrian. When Gene shouts "what's up with you this morning, you haven't got the decorators in again.", modern day vehicles including a white LDV pickup truck (you can tell by the grille badge) can be seen in the background.

Ashes to Ashes (2008)
Factual error: In Episode 5, when Chris and Ray pull away in the green car to Garside workshops, a white modern day Mercedes Sprinter van is visible behind them (immediately in front of the red Vauxhall Cavalier that drives past which, incidentally, is also out of place for 1981).

Child Abduction is Not Funny - S6-E11
Trivia: When the fake Mongolians are attacking the wall with the tape recorder on the ground, the sound effects seem to be taken directly from Microsoft's Age of Empires II.

1984 (1984)
Audio problem: When Winston says "Bugger." at the start of the film when he has the cigarette in his mouth, his lips are most definitely not in sync with the word. And it even sounds dubbed over.

Doctor Who (2005)
Continuity mistake: When the two Cybermen meet the Dalek for the first time, they are exterminated. They fall directly in front of the Dalek, but when the camera angle changes to show the second Cyberman hitting the floor side on, you can see the Dalek in the background. The Cybermen both fell straight forward, so it shouldn't have been possible to see the Dalek when seeing the Cyberman side on in the next shot, as the Dalek is facing them both directly.

Doctor Who (2005)
Factual error: The Police motorcycle in front of the Olympic runner is an S registration, meaning it was registered in 1998. The episode is set in 2012, and there is no way the Police would have such an old vehicle on active duty.

Let Him Have It (1991)
Factual error: Pierrepoint is depicted as having a London accent. In real life, however, he was from the north of England, and had a Yorkshire accent, which sounds completely different. This is proved in a BBC interview with him, dating from the 1970s.

Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969)
Continuity mistake: During the Ministry of Silly Walks sketch, in the office, John Cleese pulls out a film-projector from his desk, and you can see the power cord plugged into the back of it. After the spoof black-and-white film footage showing the silly walks, John Cleese throws the projector away. The power cord, which was originally plugged in, has disappeared completely.

Fawlty Towers (1975)
Gourmet Night (a.k.a. Gourmet's Paradise) - S1-E5
Revealing mistake: When Basil is out of the car and shouting at it after its final breakdown, you can see a crew member reflected in the right hand side of the windscreen giving John Cleese cues. It's not Cleese himself, as the reflection remains after he runs out of shot to get the tree branch, and the reflection doesn't mimic every action performed on screen.

Bottom (1991)
Continuity mistake: When Ritchie yells "Aah. Aah. Aah." after the table lands on his toes, the shot zooms out. When Eddie hits him again, he is able to move away from the table. But we never see the table moving the final distance downwards towards the floor (implying he's pulled his feet out from under it), meaning his toes were never under the table at that point, only in the short scene beforehand.

Gourmet Night (a.k.a. Gourmet's Paradise) - S1-E5
Continuity mistake: When Basil's car breaks down for the final time after reversing away from the van, watch closely on the garden path of the house right next to the car. The garden gate is open, and you can see it swing shut (look at the black shape just above the hedge) just as Basil says "One, two three." The gate was shut when he first reversed around the corner, but was open again after the shot cuts back to the car (after it's moved to the right along the pavement).
