Factual error: At the beginning of the movie, the boy checks his calender and crosses of the final box in August, meaning that it would be September. However, when he goes outside, all the leaves are orange and brown. A little early for the leaves to be changing. (00:04:00)

Factual error: In the final gunfight, we see a close-up of Charley fanning the hammer and rapid-firing his six shot Colt Single Action Army nine times in a row. [Kostner has stated in interviews that this occurs because a short scene of him switching revolvers (he had a second revolver in his belt) was left on the cutting room floor. Still a mistake, but there's the reason.]

Factual error: When Michael Douglas and the girl have just taken off in the plane, someone shoots at them with a machine gun. But the person is behind the aircraft, not at the side and so it would be impossible for the bullets to crack the side window.

Factual error: In the scene where Brian, Rome and the other guys are racing to the impound lot, Brian whips his Evo around and starts driving backwards. He would be going pretty slow in reverse so the other guys should have past him do to the fact that they where doing over 100 mph beforehand according to the FBI's GPS. (00:30:55)

Factual error: In the scene where the kids are viewing the cupcake baking, there is a sign in the corner reading "laugh". The sign is facing towards the chef, when it should be facing the crowd. (00:31:40)

Factual error: In the scene at the beginning, where Jonesy is in back of the ambulance after being hit by the car while crossing the road, they show the paramedics shocking him with the defibrillator. After the first shock, one of the medics says that Jonesy is still flatline and says to hit him again. This would not normally happen because you don't defibrillate in an Asystole rhythm (flatline).

Factual error: Middleburg,VA is actually a little over 40 miles outside of Washington DC, not 20 miles. (00:06:25)

Factual error: There's a mistake when Charlie is reading "Green Eggs and Ham" to the kids. Right after reading "I do not like them here or there, I do not like them anywhere.", he shows them a picture of that character holding a fist and says "He was gonna punch Sam I am". The picture he showed them is not on the same page as that line in the book "Green Eggs and Ham". It only comes in about ten pages later.

Factual error: When Alex first meets Emma, he claims the law firm of Van Buren, Polk, etc. is in the Prudential Tower. Yet, in the last scene where he is trying to win Emma back, you can see the Prudential Tower outside the window of the office they are in (to the right of the John Hancock tower).

Factual error: When the zombies are about to over-run the house, one of the ravers sacrifices himself by shooting a keg of gunpowder to blow up the building. The problem is that gunpowder is not an impact explosive, you could shoot that keg all day and all it would do is put holes in it. Just shooting it would not cause an explosion.

Factual error: In Steve Martin's office, when Steve is showing Eugene Levy the woman he thinks he has a date with, Steve is using an Apple Powerbook on his office desk. It cuts to a shot of the two of them looking at the screen, and then a second shot from across the desk. The Powerbook is still on the desk with the top open, but it is not turned on. When a Powerbook is powered on, the white apple on the top cover glows (even in a well lit room). The apple is not glowing.

Factual error: This mistake happens in the scene where Nigel and the babies are trapped in the bathysphere underwater, and Nigel is on the radio, chatting with Marianne. Nigel reports: "Well, one little girl is rather pouty, and someone needs a diaper change." However, it has been pointed out in episodes of 'The Wild Thornberries' that Nigel is from England. Even though Rugrats Go Wild was produced in the United States, Nigel should've used the word 'nappy' instead of 'diaper'. (01:08:35)

Factual error: The prisoner is described as carrying an "Axis IV Dissociative Disorder"; that is complete nonsense - dissociative disorders are placed on Axis I in psychiatric diagnoses (Axis I is clinically treatable disorders; Axis II is mental retardation/personality disorders; Axis III is concomitant health problems (e.g., hypertension, diabetes mellitus, CABG, etc.); Axis IV is a list of psychosocial stressors and their severity (e.g., "Moderate - Health problems, financial problems"); Axis V is the GAF score (Global Assessment of Function, scored from 0 - 100). *Any* clinical professional with psychiatric experience would put dissociative disorder on Axis I except for the psychiatrist in the film, who apparently doesn't know any better. (00:54:00)

Factual error: The movie takes place in Des Plaines, Illinois, with a couple of scenes from downtown Chicago. However, throughout the movie you can see both palm trees and mountains in the background, none of which actually exist in Illinois. The producers also point this out on the DVD commentary.

Factual error: When they paint the van with spray paint, look at the box of paint cans, they do not match all the colors on the van, also, there is a smooth shine on the van, but if you just painted it with spray paint it would be rough. Also, if you painted an entire van with spray paint in 10 seconds it would not have anytime to dry, but when you look at the van it is perfectly dry.

Factual error: Near the end of the movie a Greyhound bus is shown. The route through Taos to El Paso is served by T.N.M. & O. T.N.M. & O. was purchased by Greyhound many years ago. However, the buses were marked with T.N.M. & O. as of a couple years ago when I rode the bus from Taos to Albuquerque. As of today greyhound.com still shows it as being served by T.N.M. & O., not Greyhound.

Factual error: When the man from the Mayor's office bought Mays's car from the auction, the car still had the same tags that Mays had on it. The tags should have been changed. (00:13:35)

Factual error: The movie uses a "website" of http://members.aol.juktm.html. This wasn't the correct address in 1998 (it would have had a .com in it). The "website" shown was probably a local file on the computer shown in the movie and the producers didn't want to invest the extra time to make a phony address bar. (00:53:20)

Factual error: When the Chinese enter the Pink nightclub at the start and shoot everyone, they fire their weapons for a constant minute. Not one of them reloads their weapon once.

Factual error: In the scene where Ted Bundy is being led into the courthouse in Tallahassee, the traffic in the background shows many vehicles much newer than 1978 models, which is the time period the scene is set. Most of the visible passing vehicles are from at least the mid 1990s. (00:58:00)
